PT is a very important officer on the police force wild animal. You need to respect her very cute paws and whiskers ability to fit the entirety of both the Inspector’s and Death’s sleight frames in her bone crushing maw.
He opens the door without knocking, time is of the essence here. Protocol priority states he can worry about politeness later. “Pendleton? Pembrooke? …PT?”
And in those four days, PI and Death were mauled. The scene was a bloody one, with gore and bits of PI over there, and some Death over here, and… really it’s just a concerned Death fretting over a really large PT who was flopped out over Pembrooke and seemed to care little for either’s attempts to move it. With Pembrooke mostly giving up on life, and Death very timidly shooing at it from across the room.
“Oh! Amir! Just the man I wanted to see. Uhm… Sasha?? Seems a little less deadly than I originally assumed. But, I’m also not keen on testing my mortality. Help Pembrooke, please?”
“It helps that she recently ate before all this mess started.” comes the weary voice of a tired inspector as he gazes up at the ceiling and questions his life decisions. “Most apex predators tend to become more docile after they’ve eaten. No reason to expend more energy than necessary. So it’s just been a matter of keeping her calm and unstressed.”
There is another half-hearted attempt to nudge himself free of PT’s weight, but his feeble strength proves once again no match for the inert weight of anything bigger than a bag of flour much less a tiger.
“I hope you have a plan for how to get her back to headquarters safely.”
Oh good. Everyone alive and accounted for. Thank frog.
Still, the tension of the situation alleviated doesn’t discount its general bothersomeness.
A small clicker is held outward toward the animal, click click clicking until the giant feline perks, almost liquid in the way she sloughs off the Inspector’s most of him and waddles toward the police captain, who congratulates her willingness to comply with fresh meat. Easy.
“I...do not know...actually.” The carapace thinks, perturbed as he keeps the meat chunks coming, distracting the tiger. “I doubt she will fit in the cruiser. Without destroying it no less...”
