The real Mercs all have real names....

Do these little guys have "real" names? Something like Meowdic isn't really a job title so I'd personally accept it as a cat name lol but still! What interesting parents the pun named ones must have! >w<

I like to think, hey it’s a silly au full of cats, so what if biscuits sounds silly as a class name?! x)) Biscuits is an example, because his real name is Jane Dough! Love how it actually matches with the biscuit pun, it was unintentional.^^

Sooo basically some of them, I was really stuck on how to make their class names into cat puns… so I just had fun with it, and chose a name that suits them if I couldn’t make a pun out of it. (Without repeats)

While I’m talking about their names, it’s such an unimportant detail and I don’t think anyone noticed but I usually try to make cat puns out of their surnames, IF both of their names are known. (If not, I just cat-fit their first name!)

Hii of course!!

For my headcanon, I always had a little story played out in my head for how they met! I think it’d be cool to describe it here.. :3c

Scratch’s ma (named Babette in my headcanon and in this au) was apart of a powerful mafia. Snap (Spy) was a mercenary who went on solo missions in different areas of the world, and back then he wasn’t as professional and stoic as he is now… He was a little too cocky but no less suave.

Snap’s job was a secret (well duh, he is a Spy), and Babette was more thought of in the city of Boston to probably be associated with criminal activities, but that was also a secret.

The two met somewhere, probably at a bar (might be worth mentioning that Babette is also outside of her home a LOT, leaving her eldest sons to look after the rest of them, most of the time - even before Scratch is born.), and they instantly had a ‘click’, but didn’t fall in love just yet. Maybe they both knew that the other was hiding something dangerous. Of course, Snap would flirt because he was drawn to her somewhat mysterious nature and confident personality. She’d play hard to get while still flirting back, just a little: Not enough for him to think he was going to get a kiss that night! The two might’ve crossed paths a couple of times after that, but they only officially met once.

..At least until the day a dangerous gang captured Babette! Well she’s apart of a mafia, how could it be that easy? I guess that’s a different story lol… anyway, think of it as if it’s from Snap’s POV, where he has no idea until Babette tells him. (Not only does my headcanon need more development, but I’m trying to make this post mainly about these two falling in love, and shorter x)) You could only guess that she was kidnapped for her pearls and luxuries!

Lucky for her, Snap was on a solo mission: someone was going to pay him, requesting that he’d assassinate the leader of that gang.

Shortly after Babette’s kidnapping, Snap snuck into at the gang’s hideout to do the one thing he was going to get paid to do at first, until he sees the lady, tied to a chair. Now, this is about more than getting his money: he needs to rescue the woman who stole his heart the moment he laid his eyes on her! His main priority became the lady’s safety and escape.

Without wasting any more time, Snap started to eliminate other gang members while quietly freeing Babette and keeping her close. That is when she really falls in love… (Now that she is free, she knows how to defend herself, but now, even amidst the dangerous situation, she wanted to test him to see how far he’d go to make sure she is safe.) In a hurry to get her to safety, he immediately searched for an exit and lead her out first. Now, the rest of the gang was after him, as well as the leader. Babette worries for Snap, tempted to rush back inside and fight alongside him, but she is grateful to see him soon after her own escape.

Hmmm… let me be dramatic: instead of back-clawing or just shooting the leader, Snap finds it impossible since the two are running from more than one enemy. Maybe he found a room full of explosives, (yes, it’s totally an action/romance movie now) and that was the key to their true escape. So, their turf blows up and so does what was left of the gang. :0

After everything, the two are very aware of their love for each other and they share their first kiss. The rest (entire thing), I might as well rewrite in fic form some time, but I won’t do that here lol x))
