She didn’t use to, she always thought she was invincible for some reason, always telling people (and herself) that they had their entire lives ahead of them. Losing Elijah, however, made her realize that life is indeed short and tomorrow isn’t promised. So now, she does worry about time, never feeling like she’s got enough time to do all the things she wants to.

Catriona adores winter. She loves cuddling up inside under a heated blanket (alternatively ten regular blankets) with a book and wasting her day away. She’s also someone who just doesn’t do well in warm weather, absolutely hates it. Catch her being the one sitting with a hoodie at the beach to hide away from the sun.

✿ - Does your muse like nature in general?

She likes nature, nature just doesn’t seem to like her. Every time she’s ventured out on a hike or, god forbid, gone camping, something has gone terribly, terribly wrong. One could argue that was all because of poor planning on her part, but she’d argue it was nature telling her to stay inside.

The words were unexpected, to say the least, like Rupert was answering a question that hadn’t been asked and it caught Catriona completely off guard. Mid-sip, the words spoken had an annoyingly loud laugh escape from deep within her, spitting out what was in her mouth and covering the small table in alcohol. She had to set the drink down to avoid spilling any more, quickly grabbing a couple of napkins to wipe at her mouth while trying to contain the laughter that still spilled from her. It was moments like these that had her truly valuing her friendship with the other, the comments from him that no one else would even dare think of, let alone speak out loud.

“The fact that you didn’t say ‘yes, a really good dick’ instead of book, just speaks volumes,” she finally manages to get out, hands patting away with napkins at the table to clean up the mess she’d made. “Why are you even thinking of pussy right now, Roo?”

Where else would he indulge in A Nightmare on Elm Street, only to be distracted by a conversation about ghosts of all things? “Huh.”, he made in a mock decision to sound surprised at her words, choosing to, too, abandon the storyline of the movie to prop himself up from his slouch to turn at least his upper body toward her. “When exactly did you decide that you didn’t wanna be the sensible one in this relationship again?” He laughed lightly, but the question held up at so many levels. Who was it that opposed to his kind of fun more times than not again? “The only thing we’d find is vagrants and literal rats because ghosts do not exist in the real world, Kit.”

It was obvious Catriona had spent hours every night before bed watching Top Five Scary Ghosts Caught On Camera and videos like it for the past week, clearly building a desire to find some scary stuff herself. Granted, it could all be fake and most likely was, or a trick of the light, or a well-placed shadow, but she was intrigued, nonetheless. “Isn’t it sensible to try to find out if there’s an after life after all?” She countered, perhaps a little too fast like she’d been sitting on the answer for far too long. The words that followed had her letting out an annoyed groan though, her head falling back against the back of the couch but she kept her gaze on him. “Or,” she began, eyes narrowing in suspense before she continued, “we could find an actual ghost that will attach to either one of us and haunt us for the rest of our lives, or until we find someone to perform an exorcist.” Okay, she was getting ahead of herself a little. “C’mon, Wolfie, who are you to say no to some fun like this?”
