IRL stuff that I don't write here very often, but the elections in Russia are getting closer. Which means soon I might lose the connection with the outside world. Let's hope I'm not, but I'm very scared.

If you ever wondered, my country is trying to lock us in and already has banned most of social media, messengers and all the basics you have out there. Like youtube, instagram, twitter - all of that. Even Telegram. But they say they're about to bring so called white lists - basically that means there's a list of webpages we can use and the rest is banned and there's no known way to reach it. You want the truth? No one wants or likes it, especially those who say the opposite too loud.

For now I'm using VPN to gain access to the most socials with a weird exception of tumblr (knowing how mad about any LGBT+ our tops are). But we don't know if the government start punishing people for any VPN usage/server running. So if I suddenly disappear it means the measures were taken and I'm unhappy about it.

I don't need pity. Just remember that sometimes the silence is caused by fear of knife swinging under their heads. And that danger comes from those who has sworn to protect us and the biggest liars in this universe.

The positive thing is, well, I believe something will be done about white lists. Even if it's Illegal, our country is too huge to catch every VPN user and put them to jail\fine them.
