I think it’s really funny when I see a artist I admire like/repost my stuff cause it’s “wow I’m so honored to be seen by this person I sort of look up to!” But at the same time it’s like of course they saw my post, I used a tag they take up like half the dash of.

I just realized I’ve been severely neglecting posting my art on Tumblr (whoops) so I’m gonna try to catch up with that.

I do not understand “purists” in any way shape or form. I just saw a post bashing Sonic IDW and Sonic IDW enjoyers because we “hate Sonic”? I was (still am a lil) honestly convinced it was rage bait because to say that the IDW hate Sonic when he is probably the main reason we are reading the comic is silly. The idea that the only “true” way to enjoy Sonic is purely through the games is negating all the other awesome content surrounding him. I love the Sonic comics, the games, the movies, and the shows, all for different reasons. Sometimes the characterization can be wack, sometimes concepts feel recycled, sometimes they have a great concept but fumble the execution in the final stretch (cough cough Sonic prime) of course people will have gripes with any piece of media they are presented with but writing off all content that isn’t The Games as “made by haters for haters” is a hater mindset and limits your own enjoyment of the franchise. If you choose to do that it’s your decision but bashing others for likening what you don’t is childish.
