Pelipper mail is ON! Musharna mail / malice are ON! Magic Anons / Pelipper malice are SELECTIVE!
OOC BELOW!
Hey guys! Before I get into anything, I want to first say that this blog is planned to have meta elements. There will be themes including loss of control, questioning reality, disassociation, and mind control (actions being influenced or controlled by the universe itself), and potentially more depending on how the story progresses or changes. If ANY of these elements are triggering or uncomfortable for you to view, I encourage you to PLEASE either block or not interact with this blog, or block the tags #tw meta, #tw unreality, #tw loss of control, and #tw mind control.
If you're staying or potentially find this blog interesting, welcome! My name is Keriah, and I am the mun of this roleplay blog. I am 18+, and I use any pronouns! My main blog is @ keriah!
Although I am an adult, my muse is not! Suggestive jokes are fine, but please don't go into detail. Any asks that are too inappropriate, go into detail about gore or animal / Pokémon abuse, or any other intense topics will likely be ignored.
In character hate, Pelipper mail, Musharna mail / malice, union circles and roleplay interactions are always welcome! Any blogs may interact! I may be particular about Pelipper malice, but feel free to shoot your shot! I'll likely be picky with magic Anons as well (generally, low stakes or joke asks should be fine in moderation).
Keep in mind this may be updated in the future! If you've read all the way through, thank you!

IM SO FUCKING PROUD OF MY BOY 🥺🫶‼️‼️ HES COME SO FAR FROM being a LITTLE KITAKAMI APPLIN
OH YEAH 😯💡‼️ BECAUSE we BEAT DRAYTONS BUTT we HAVE to TAKE ON THE CHAMPION NEXT 😨‼️ I HAVE COMPLETE FAITH in the ENTIRE GANG but this MAY BE A BIT of a DOOZY
[The video takes place in the same area as the last video, with the device recording hovering above the battle court. Once again, Drayton and Cerbera stand at opposite sides of the court, but this time, Cerbera seems much more at ease. Both Trainers already have their Pokémon out on the field, with a Flygon and Dragonite on Drayton's side, and a Chien-Pao and Tinkaton on Cerbera's.
Despite the intimidating Pokémon, Drayton appears rather relaxed as he calls out from across the field. “You know you've got this, right bud? Don't let me down! No one wants to see me ugly cry.” At the sound of Cerbera's laughter, Drayton offers an amused smile. He still seems to be watching Cerbera with open curiosity, but now, it doesn't seem as intense as it had been in previous interactions.
“... Thanks, Drayton.” Cerbera smiles back at him with a startling amount of sincerity and gratefulness, but Drayton just lifts his hands and gives a playful shrug.
“Hey, what kind of friend would I be otherwise? Now, come on, let's not get all sappy during your Elite Final. What'd I just say about not making me cry?”
“Alright, alright!” Cerbera laughs again, a bit softer this time. Strangely enough, although the battle has begun, Cerbera's body doesn't seem as tense. She exchanges a glance with Hydrangea the Tinkaton, and both Pokémon and Trainer give each other a steady nod.
“Hydrangea, use Fake Out on Dragonite!” Cerbera calls out confidently, gesturing forward with their hand. Before any other Pokémon on the field can move, Hydrangea blitzes forward, lightly smacking the Dragonite and catching it off guard. “Now, Scilla, use Icicle Crash on Flygon!” At Cerbera's next command, the Chien-Pao lets out a loud, reverberating roar and rains a flurry of Ice Type energy down onto the Flygon.
The attack is strong enough to take out Flygon in a single hit, and with Dragonite having flinched from the Fake Out, none of Cerbera's Pokémon have yet to take damage. As Drayton sends in Haxorus to replace his fallen Flygon, Scilla uses another Icicle crash, this time on the Dragonite. Even with the Yache Berry, the attack is once again strong enough to fell its victim.
“There we go! Now that's what I'm talking about!” Drayton cheers enthusiastically, clapping both hands together as he laughs. Even with the starting disadvantage, Drayton barely seems fazed at all. In fact, he seems excited. For a moment, Cerbera looks a little embarrassed from the sudden praise, but they still manage to confidently smile as Drayton sends in Sceptile to replace the fainted Dragonite.
After Drayton instructs his Haxorus to use Dragon Dance, Hydrangea dashes towards it to use a Play Rough attack. The damage seems enough to take it out entirely, but Haxorus manages to barely cling on with its held Focus Sash. “Alright Haxorus, time for some damage control. Iron Head that cat, and show them why dragons are at the top.” He gestures in a joking, theatrical way, and although Haxorus glances back to give him a side eye, it complies.
The super-effective attack is strong enough to take down Scilla, and the powerful Pokémon is forced to retreat back into its Poké Ball. Cerbera carefully grips the capsule, as if trying to give it a reassuring squeeze. As Hydrangea uses Play Rough on the Sceptile, it uses Dragon Cheer in an attempt to help boost its weak ally.
However, as Kauense the Hisuian Arcanine switches in, it uses an Extreme Speed attack to move in the blink of an eye and ram straight into the Haxorus. As Haxorus is forced back into its Poké Ball, Hydrangea uses another Play Rough on Sceptile, and Sceptile returns the favor with a Leaf Storm attack. However, they still don't manage to take each other out.
When Drayton sends in his Kingdra to replace Haxorus, Kauense looks back towards his Trainer. When he receives a reassuring nod and a command, the Pokémon dashes forward again in a blur of motion to take down Sceptile with another Extreme Speed attack.
“Alright, Hydrangea, your turn!” Cerbera calls out, much to the Pokémon's excitement. “Play Rough on Kingra! Give them your worst, mejor!” As soon as the command is given, Hydrangea leaps upwards, and falls straight towards the Kingdra to deliver a flurry of attacks. Surprisingly, the attack seems to be even more potent than usual, and after the critical hit, Kingdra is sent straight back into its Poké Ball.
Drayton's eyes widen at the display, and a smile immediately spreads across his face as he lets out a long whistle. “Whew! That was beautiful. Seems like luck itself has a soft spot for you this time.” With both Sceptile and Kingdra taken down, Drayton brings out his last Poké Ball.
“I'm glad you've gotten this far, bud, but I'm not just gonna take this lying down.” Drayton tosses the Poké Ball up into the air, releasing his Archaludon onto the field.
“I wouldn't have expected anything less.” Cerbera grins back at him, giving him a steady nod, presumably to show that she's still comfortable and in the game.
“That's what I like to hear.” Without wasting another moment, Drayton reaches for his Tera Orb, holding it out in Archaludon's direction. “Now watch this dragon's blood boil! Take control, Archaludon!” Completely unfazed by the gathering Terastal energy, he tosses it forward, allowing Archaludon to be enveloped in Tera Crystals.
Before long, Archaludon has transformed into a pure Dragon Type, the crystal crown above its head shining brightly. As it begins charging up an Electro Shot, Kauense uses an Extreme Speed, and Hydrangea uses a Play Rough. However, with each attack, Archaludon only seems to become stronger, its Stamina ability increasing its defense with each hit.
However, with a Gigaton Hammer from Hydrangea and a Head Smash from Kauense, it's clear that the pair are more than able to outlast the hulking Dragon Type. Even after the Electro Shot hits Hydrangea, the Fairy Type doesn't falter. With one last swing of her hammer, she lands a Play Rough attack, finally concluding the battle.
As soon as Drayton's last Pokémon falls, Cerbera is seen breathing a sigh of relief. As Hydrangea comes running up to her trainer, chattering excitedly, Cerbera laughs. Without wasting a beat, she extends her arms to pick up Hydrangea, and when the Pokémon drops her hammer onto the ground, Cerbera happily spins her around. Kauense is quick to bound over as well, excitedly wagging his large tail and licking the side of Cerbera's face.
“Hey– Ense, come on! Not the entire face!” She laughs loudly, giggling again when Hydrangea pouts and attempts to push Kauense's snout away with her small hands. Drayton, on the other hand, doesn't seem bothered by the celebration one bit. Instead, he has a lazy smile on his face, and he slowly begins to clap.
Drayton laughs, holding both hands behind his head as he walks over. “Man, that was ridiculous. So much fun. Seems like your Pokémon enjoyed themselves too.” He grins, watching as Cerbera lowers her arms so that Hydrangea can hop back onto the ground.
“Yeah, they usually do. I don't usually have this much fun with battles, though. Normally, I just… you know.” Cerbera shrugs, and although they seem a bit reluctant at the subtle mention of their battling state, they're still grinning happily, obviously glad to have won.
“See? I knew inviting you to join the League Club was the right move!” Drayton grins right back, using a hand to firmly pat Cerbera's shoulder. “And I guess if you beat me, we better make you a full member, finally!” He encourages, much to Cerbera's surprise. “Whaddya say? Ready to be the real deal?”
Cerbera pauses, eyes wide at Drayton's offer. “Shit, I mean… are you sure? I don't wanna cause too many problems for everyone else. And I dunno if–”
“Aw, come on! After that big pep talk and all that motivation, you're still playing hard to get?” Drayton sighs, although the sound is obviously dramatic and playful. “I know I saw that spark of enthusiasm in your eye. It's a lot more low-key than you think it is. If the ol’ Drayster is able to keep his spot, then I know you can.”
“Besides, I'll be right there to help you for as long as you stick around.” Drayton smiles again, but this time, it seems much more gentle. Cerbera pauses, seemingly to process his words, before he nods and smiles.
“Alright, alright. Yo me encargo.” Cerbera quietly laughs, recalling both Hydrangea and Kauense back into their respective Poké Balls. “I'll join the club for real. At least, for as long as I can.” As if to confirm it for themselves, Cerbera nods again, a bit more determined now. After Drayton allows a moment of silence, Cerbera glances downwards to think.
“Guess all that's next is Kieran, huh?” He frowns, lifting a hand up to run it through his hair. “I know everything'll end up fine– I mean, it kind of has to, but… I'm still kinda nervous about what happens next, you know?” The same hand moves to rub at the back of his neck now, as if unsure as to where it should settle.
“Hey.” Drayton uses his own hand to confidently rest it on Cerbera's shoulder, and draw their attention to his expression. “Whatever pops up next, you've got all of your pals with you, don't you? Not to mention your little brigade of Pokémon. You won't be doing anything alone.” He reassures, and before Cerbera can speak up, he continues.
“Now come on. Let's get out of here before our cover gets blown. Kieran can wait a little longer for his grande finale. Besides, I've still gotta get your prize and the photo for the League.” Still holding Cerbera's shoulder, Drayton carefully turns them around, and starts walking forward with them.
“... You're an asshole, you know that?” Cerbera snorts in amusement.
“And proud of it, too.” Drayton replies, all nonchalance and amusement.
[The video begins, hovering above a battle court within the Polar Biome, much like the ones in past videos. This one, however, has white and purple tiles instead of pink or blue. Drayton and Cerbera stand across from one another on opposite sides of the court. Cerbera looks a bit out of it, noticeably tense as Drayton curiously watches. His head is tilted, and he has that familiar, lazy smile on his face that doesn't quite reach his eyes.
“... Hmm. Here should be good.” Drayton glances down towards where his feet are, before his attention quickly turns back to Cerbera. “Y'know, I was thinking about the look you get when you're in battle…” he pauses, watching as Cerbera averts their gaze away, “and I realized I've only ever seen you like that from the sidelines.”
“Guess now I know what it's like to face you from across the court!” Drayton laughs, and he looks nearly ready to continue, before he stops himself. He seems to analyze Cerbera's expression and posture, and now along with the curiosity, there's a new concern apparent on his expression as well.
At Drayton's silence, Cerbera curiously lifts their head. The older boy does an exaggerated sigh, his shoulders slumping in a relaxed gesture. “... You know, even though we both put on our own little acts… I really do consider you a pal of mine. You don't have to deal with everything all by your lonesome.” As Drayton speaks, he tries to offer a genuine smile.
“You can talk to me. Off the record.” For a moment, he side eyes the device recording the entire interaction. “Or don't. I'm not the boss of you. But we don't have to battle right now. We can just… sit down for a bit, and talk for real. No performance. Friend style, you know?” He pauses to stretch out his arms, as if the sincerity doesn't bother him at all.
Cerbera stands there, blinking in confusion. “…I guess it is kinda obvious, huh…?” He laughs a bit, lifting a hand up to run it through his hair. Despite the apparent amusement, he still seems a bit tense, as evidenced by his shoulders. “Talking, uh… might be nice. I really can't keep Kieran waiting though, so–”
“Kieran can stuff it.” Drayton yawns, not bothering to cover his mouth as he does. “You look like you could use a break. Let's go get some lunch, yeah?” Without waiting for a reply, he begins casually walking across the court. Eventually, he walks straight past Cerbera, giving the camera a little wave before he disappears from view. Cerbera stands there for a few moments longer, watching as Drayton leaves, before reluctantly following after him. As they give the camera one last glance, the video ends.]

I WASN'T ANTICIPATING a NEW POKÉMON but THIS is FIDDLENECK 🦒🔥‼️ DON'T ASK ME HOW I KNEW I'd be NEEDING HIM DON'T ASK DON'T ASK DON'T ASK 🤫❌️
FIDDLENECK HERE is GONNA BE EDELWEISS' PARTNER in CRIME for DRAYTON'S TRIAL‼️ SPEAKING of DRAYTON ☝️‼️ HES the LAST BB E4 MEMBER I NEED to BEAT before THE CHAMPION 😌 THE LAST BATTLE was PRETTY DIFFICULT but I KNOW the GANG CAN DO THIS‼️
[The video begins in the Coastal Biome of the Terarium, the camera hovering above a large battle court that's made up of pink tiles. On either end of the court is Lacey and Cerbera, already in position and ready to battle. However, Cerbera's face is noticeably scrunched up, as if trying to bite back some kind of pain.
“You're about to learn that cuteness is real strength!” Lacey shouts out, lifting her hands up to adjust the dual hair clips on either side of her head. Then, with a graceful flourish, she throws two Nest Balls forward, releasing a Granbull and a Whimsicott.
Cerbera appears to focus, their body tensing up as they get into a familiar battling position. They say nothing in reply to Lacey, and instead go straight to sending out their own pair of Pokémon. Edelweiss the Archaludon and Hydrangea the Tinkaton hit the field, the former letting out a loud cry, while the latter readies her hammer.
Lacey's Granbull, despite its initial cuteness, snarls and bares its teeth, using its Intimidate ability to lower the attack of its foes. However, this doesn't stop Hydrangea from dashing forward, raising her hammer to smack the Fairy Type with a Fake Out attack. Whimsicott is quickly commanded to use Light Screen, and Edelweiss uses the opportunity created by Fake Out to fire off a Flash Cannon towards Granbull.
Granbull loudly grumbles in frustration as the super-effective hit causes it to tumble backwards. Lacey gasps, bringing her hands up to hover in front of her mouth. However, Granbull quickly picks itself back up, shaking out its body as if to brush off the damage.
Whimsicott then moves to summon an orb of Fairy Type energy in its tiny hands, before firing it off straight at Edelweiss. However, despite her Dragon Typing, Edelweiss’ Steel Typing makes the hit neutral rather than super-effective. In fact, Edelweiss only seems to get stronger, as the damage triggers her Stamina ability.
Hydrangea leaps upwards with a surprising height, before bringing her hammer straight down onto Whimsicott with a Gigaton Hammer attack. Surprisingly, as Hydrangea leaps back to her side of the field, Whimsicott remains standing.
Another Flash Cannon from Edelweiss knocks Granbull out, and Lacey opts to send in Primarina to replace it. Cerbera narrows her eyes, briefly bringing a closed fist up to rest against her forehead, seeming to be trying to concentrate. After a subtle wince, Cerbera switches Hydrangea out for Basil the Ogerpon.
As soon as Lacey sees the Pokémon, her face lights up. “Oh my goodness! Cerbera! You never told me you had such a cutie on your team!” She coos, happily waving towards the Pokémon. When Basil waves back, Lacey excitedly giggles, before pausing in realization.
“I mean, um… Let's get back to it! Use Tailwind, Whimsicott!” Lacey extends a hand forward, seeming to be trying to hide any embarrassment behind a serious expression. Despite Cerbera's irregular demeanor, he manages a quiet laugh.
As the battle resumes, Primarina is quick to send a Moonblast attack off towards Edelweiss, while Edelweiss knocks Whimsicott out with a Flash Cannon attack.
With Whimsicott down for the count, Lacey opts to send in her Galarian Slowbro to replace it. As she does, Cerbera reaches down towards their side to grab their Tera Orb. Although they still seem to be suffering from some kind of headache, they remain focused on the battle.
“You wanted to see how someone from Paldea Terastallizes, yeah?” Cerbera grins as Terastal energy begins to rapidly flow from the orb and towards Basil. “Alright, Basil! Show ‘em what you've got!” He shouts, causing Basil to eagerly cry out and nod in agreement. Soon enough, she's Terastallized into a pure Grass Type, with a giant, crystallized mask acting as a floating shield.
As Basil leaps forward with her cudgel, Lacey is practically rendered speechless. Primarina finally falls to a super-effective Ivy Cudgel attack, and Edelweiss follows it up with a Thunderbolt attack against Slowbro. However, like Primarina, Edelweiss too falls, this time after a Flamethrower attack from Slowbro.
Lacey quickly shakes her head, forcing herself out of the rest of her shock as she sends in Alcremie to replace Primarina. Cerbera, on the other hand, sends in Snapdragon the Skeledirge to replace the fallen Edelweiss. Slowbro's Quick Draw ability allows it to move before all others on the field, and it's able to deal out a strong Shell Side Arm towards Basil. Another strong Ivy Cudgel attack from Basil isn't quite enough to take out Alcremie, allowing it to be able to use Decorate on Slowbro, causing it to become even more powerful.
Snapdragon uses Earth Power on the boosted Slowbro, and although it does do considerable damage, it's quickly able to heal itself back up with a Sitrus Berry. As Light Screen wears off, Slowbro sends off another burst of poison damage towards Basil with Shell Side Arm, while Alcremie uses Recover on itself to restore some of its health. As Basil finally succumbs to the damage and microscopic Terastal crystals shatter and disperse in the wind, Snapdragon uses yet another Earth Power on Slowbro.
With a strong Pokémon like Ogerpon down, Cerbera is seen noticeably gritting their teeth. Whether it's out of frustration or a new surge of pain is unclear. However, they still don't falter, and instead send out Hydrangea the Tinkaton to replace the fallen Basil.
Hydrangea uses Fake Out on Slowbro, causing it to flinch, even with its Quick Draw ability having been activated. After Snapdragon uses Torch Song on Alcremie, and Alcremie uses Decorate on Slowbro, Hydrangea finally manages to take Slowbro down with a Play Rough attack. As Snapdragon uses another Torch Song and Alcremie recovers its health, Lacey reaches for her final Poké Ball.
She gracefully tosses it forward, and a large Excadrill is released onto the field. Without wasting a moment, Lacey reaches for her Tera Orb next, looking genuinely excited despite being down to her final two Pokémon.
“It's our turn, Excadrill! All eyes on our great big Terastal heart! Time to get even cuter and cuter!” Lacey shouts, using her free hand to project her voice. Still holding the Tera Orb, she allows it to activate, and as the energy whips her hair about, Excadrill begins to Terastallize. Soon enough, a large crystallized heart sprouts from Excadrill's head, signifying its change into the fairy type.
As soon as its transformation is complete, Excadrill rushes forward towards Hydrangea. With a single High Horsepower attack, the fairy type is felled, but with Excadrill distracted, Snapdragon manages to damage Alcremie with another boosted Torch Song. However, Alcremie still has enough health to survive, and is able to boost Excadrill's stats with another Decorate.
“High Horsepower, dear! Let's show them how it's done!” Lacey shouts, extending her hand forward as she commands her Pokémon. Excadrill nods, and suddenly rushes across the field. With a single High Horsepower attack, Snapdragon becomes too weak to continue battling, and is forced back into his Poké Ball.
As Alcremie uses yet another Decorate on Excadrill, Cerbera is seen squinting, nearly wincing as they attempt to concentrate. After a moment, they send out Mezereum the Clodsire to replace Snapdragon, and quickly order her to use Poison Jab on Excadrill. The attack does some noticeable damage, but most importantly, Mezereum manages to poison Excadrill in the process. However, when Excadrill targets Mezereum with a High Horsepower, she quickly faints, unable to handle the damage.
The Pokémon that's sent out to replace Hydrangea is Nymphaea the Floatzel, and after a lucky critical hit, Excadrill falls. The Terastal heart displayed on its head shatters into pieces, scattering pink Tera shards across the battlefield. Now, the only Pokémon left that are still available to battle are Lacey's Alcremie and Cerbera's Floatzel.
However, with Alcremie's Recover and Giga Drain combo, it's clear that Nymphaea alone won't be able to take it down just using her Liquidation attacks. Cerbera grimaces, bringing a closed fist up to rest against his forehead. He looks worried, and even a bit pained, before his eyes suddenly widen.
He begins digging into his bag, and soon enough, a Max Revive is seen in his hands. Lacey curiously waits as Cerbera sends out his weakened Archaludon, but after giving her the Max Revive, she roars, ready to get straight back to battling.
It's just in time, as another Giga Drain from Alcremie takes out the rest of Nymphaea's health. The Floatzel skids across the field, but as she lays in defeat on Cerbera's side of the field, Edelweiss steps in front of her. She opens her mouth to charge a Flash Cannon, and with one final attack, the battle is over. Alcremie retreats back into her Poké Ball.
Cerbera stands still, but after a moment, they begin to falter. As the tension leaves their body, they nearly fall forward, having to use Edelweiss for support as they return Nymphaea to her Poké Ball. Lacey looks ready to say something, but at the sight of Cerbera looking unsteady, she instead begins trotting over, worriedly calling out her peer's name.

EDELWEISS is GONNA BRING the HOUSE DOWN 🗣🏠👇‼️ NEMONA HELPED MAIL me some TMs and BATTLING SUPPLIES FROM PALDEA (THANK YOU POOKIE 🥺🫶‼️) SO WE'LL DEFINITELY be READY to RUMBLE for the NEXT ELITE FOUR MATCH 💪🏋♂️💯🔥🔥🔥‼️
I actually wasn’t attacked by any Sunflora this time - no getting swept for me. Brassius himself… well, @cascabellsprout and the Gliscord community I’m in spoiled his ace and strategy to me, so I was able to beat him without even Terastallizing. The three Pokémon that I expected to carry the team did so - I think I won’t retire some of them just yet.
With that day done, I’m heading back to the Academy to join Elite Four member Mr. Hassel’s art class and plan my next Treasure Hunt move.
[The video begins, showing a large battle court with deep blue tiling making up a majority of the floor. The court seems to be somewhere within the Canyon Biome, with white cubes acting as a half-wall to prevent any person or Pokémon from easily tumbling to the ground below. Cerbera and Amarys stand across from each other, seeming to be having a brief discussion before the battle actually begins.
“You've earned the right to face me in battle.” Amarys speaks up, dipping her head in what looks to be a sign of respect. “Do you wish to begin?” She asks calmly, hands remaining perfectly still at her sides.
“No time like the present.” Cerbera nods his head in confirmation, giving a grin that shows off some of his teeth. “The team's been preparing for this. We're ready for whatever you've got.”
“Understood.” For the briefest moment, a small smile sneaks its way onto Amarys’ face. “Let's assume our battle positions.” She takes a moment to adjust her glasses, before turning around and quickly trotting towards her side of the court with calculated movements.
Cerbera does a mini salute just as Amarys turns away, and quickly runs off towards their side of the court to get some distance. Once the two are ready, Amarys appears to take a deep breath. “Position assumed.” As she turns back around, she hesitates, looking ready to say something. Only when Cerbera curiously tilts his head does Amarys begin.
“There is one thing I wanted to ask you…” She asks, expression turning completely serious. “It concerns Kieran. What is he to you, Cerbera?” As she speaks, Amarys seems to study Cerbera very carefully, analyzing their every expression and movement.
Cerbera, meanwhile, noticeably hesitates. By the look on her face, she hadn't expected that question. “I…” They bite their lip and run a hand through their hair, seeming to be at a complete loss. “Honestly, I don't know anymore. I mean, I hope we're still friends, but…” He looks downwards now, almost seeming momentarily guilty.
Amarys frowns in contemplation, before curtly nodding her head. “So, you are uncertain… I see.” She seems satisfied with the honest answer, and seeing as Cerbera remains quiet, she continues.
“For my part, Kieran is the younger brother of my dear friend, Carmine.” She begins, seeming to choose her words carefully. “Something in him has changed– he is not his usual self. I find this deeply concerning.” She admits, turning her head away to stare into the open air beside her. She closes her eyes, her body and expression seeming calm and collected despite her worries.
“If possible… I want to be the one to help him.” Amarys confesses, but her voice is a bit quieter now, as if nervous of admitting such a thing. Then, when she looks back towards Cerbera, her expression resumes its stoic calm. “That being the case, I cannot afford to lose.”
After a moment, Cerbera manages a subtle smile as they nod their head. “Yeah, I get it. But, you know, no matter who wins, we can both try to help him. Even if we have different ideas on how to do it.” They extend their hands in an inviting gesture, an understanding glint in their eyes.
For a moment, Amarys smiles. It's small and reluctant, but it's there nonetheless. “I appreciate the sentiment.” She gives Cerbera her own nod, before she reaches for the pocket watch underneath her coat. After checking the time, she nods once again, this time to herself.
“... Our battle starts now.” She announces, her smile quickly disappearing as the cold, neutral expression reappears on her face. After clicking a button on her watch, she tucks it back into her coat, and retrieves two Heavy Balls from her side.
“May the best man win.” Amarys’ composure seems to rub off on Cerbera, as they take a deep breath to steady themselves. Surprisingly, they don't immediately retreat into their familiar battling position. Their posture remains relaxed as they reach for their own Poké Balls, and their eyes narrow in concentration.
The battle begins as Amarys sends out her first two Pokémon, an Alolan Dugtrio and a Skarmory. “Get ready, Skarmory. You too, Dugtrio. We're finishing this battle right on schedule.” She nods to her two Pokémon, a new determination in her voice as she addresses her allies.
Cerbera, meanwhile, opts to begin by sending out Nymphaea the Floatzel and Lycoris the Basculegion. The pair of Pokémon instantly get into position, and when Nymphaea glances back at her trainer, she gives a reassuring, toothy grin.
Amarys’ Dugtrio begins by firing off an Earthquake that damages both of Cerbera's Pokémon, but Nymphaea is quick to strike back. A Liquidation nearly causes Dugtrio to faint, if not for the Focus Sash it had been holding. Using the opportunity, Amarys commands Skarmory to use Body Press, and Nymphaea is forced back into her Poké Ball. After a Flip Turn from Lycoris, Dugtrio is next to faint, crying out in defeat as it too retreats to the safety of its Poké Ball.
Amarys sends in Empoleon to replace Dugtrio, while Cerbera decides to send in Snapdragon the Skeledirge and Cinnamon the Pawmot. Amarys looks momentarily surprised by the sudden appearance of the Electric Type, but Cerbera smiles in genuine excitement.
“Double Shock, Cin! Give ‘em your worst!”
Cinnamon cheers in agreement, surrounding itself with all of the electricity it can muster. Suddenly, it's all sent crashing towards Empoleon, and the Pokémon goes down in a single hit. Amarys looks genuinely impressed, but she quickly reigns herself in, and the battle is forced to continue. Skarmory sets up a layer of Stealth Rocks, and Snapdragon nearly takes it out entirely with a Torch Song attack, if not for its Sturdy ability.
Amarys switches in Reuniclus, and Cerbera switches Pawmot out in favor of Castilleja the Chi-Yu. As its Beads of Ruin ability activates, Amarys raises an eyebrow at the unfamiliar Pokémon. However, there's no time for questions, as another Torch Song causes Skarmory to fall, and Reuniclus sets up a Trick Room.
Amarys sends out her Scizor to replace the fainted Skarmory, and as Reuniclus uses Protect, Scizor attacks Snapdragon with an Aerial Ace. In retaliation, Snapdragon begins gathering fire in his mouth, before firing off a boosted Torch Song. Even with the Occa Berry, Scizor isn't able to survive the attack. Castilleja attempts a Dark Pulse to get its own KO, but the attack is quickly halted by the Protect.
Amarys takes a moment to adjust her glasses, the lenses seeming to have fogged up from the heat of Snapdragon's attack. “... Time is short. Let's wrap this battle up.” Even with her team on the ropes, Amarys remains perfectly calm as she pulls out her final Poké Ball, along with a Tera Orb. She sends out her final Pokémon, a Metagross, and readies her Tera Orb.
Even as the capsule brims and shakes with new energy, Amarys just holds the side of her glasses with a free hand. As crystals begin to engulf Metagross, it lets out a determined cry, and is Terastallized into a pure Steel Type. Due to the Trick Room, Amarys’ Pokémon are able to move much faster, and rush towards their opponents.
Snapdragon is hit by a Psychic from Reuniclus, and Castilleja is taken out by a Brick Break from Metagross. However, even with one of their Pokémon out for the count, Cerbera stands confidently. “Alright, Snappy, let's do this again. Get ready, buddy!” They extend a hand to point towards Metagross, and Snapdragon inclines his head in a curt nod of understanding.
Snapdragon's flames only seem to grow more powerful, wisps of fire harmlessly licking against his scales as he prepares another attack. With a shout from his Trainer, he fires off another Torch Song, straight towards the Metagross. Even with its boosts, the attack seems to do even more damage than usual, resulting in something that may have been a bit overkill.
“Fuck yes! That was awesome, Snappy!” Cerbera cheers with a laugh, momentarily distracted as they pump both fists into the air. Snapdragon excitedly wags his tail as the praise, and even Amarys seems to gently smile without realizing.
As Lycoris switches back in to replace Castilleja, Snapdragon is finally taken down by a second Psychic attack from Reuniclus. Lycoris uses a Liquidation attack against Reuniclus, but it isn't enough, and the Psychic Type is already gradually regaining health with its Leftovers item.
Lilium the Annihilape switches in to replace Snapdragon, but Reuniclus quickly takes out Lycoris’ remaining health with an Energy Ball. A Rage Fist isn't quite enough to take down Reuniclus, but even with the opposing Pokémon's success, Cerbera's victory is already assured. Once Pawmot is sent out, one final powerful Double Shock attack is enough to finally win the battle.
As Reuniclus is returned to its Poké Ball, there's a moment of pause. Then, Amarys’ shoulders relax the slightest bit, and she takes a deep breath. “I am… not enough, I see.” Despite her defeat, and the clear disappointment in her eyes, there's the beginnings of a smile on her face, as if some kind of weight was suddenly lifted.
Without any tension in his body to release, Cerbera is free to quickly recall his Pokémon and run right up to Amarys as soon as the battle has ended. “Amarys! That was awesome!” He encourages, a bright smile on his face. However, when he notices Amarys’ somewhat conflicted expression, his smile softens a bit.
“Thank you, Cerbera. I am glad to have provided an ‘awesome’ battle.” For a moment, it seems as if she has to hold back a laugh. “The strength of one's Pokémon reflects the strength of one's beliefs.” Amarys notes, an obvious respect in her voice.
However, she suddenly seems the slightest bit conflicted as she turns her head away. “Your desire to help Kieran is evidently greater than my own.” She admits, sounding as if she's already accepted the fact.
“What? Hey, come on, that's not true.” Cerbera laughs, putting on another smile. He looks tempted to reach out and pat Amarys’ shoulder, but manages to stop himself. “Just because I won doesn't mean that you don't care enough. You're doing everything you can, just like I am. You care about him just as much as I do.” She's clearly attempting to cheer Amarys up, but even so, she sounds completely honest and sincere in her words.
Amarys seems to silently consider Cerbera's words, her eyes closed, head tilted down towards the floor. “Cerbera… You truly are a kind person.” When she looks back up at Cerbera, there's an obvious gratitude in her eyes.
Cerbera smiles softly at the compliment, and they seem to have their own gratitude reflected in their expression. “I promise, I'll do whatever I can to help. Whatever it takes, alright?” They offer out a hand for Amarys to shake. Amarys curiously looks down at the extended hand, before carefully taking it in her own.
“Thank you. That… is all I can ask of you.” Amarys smiles back, and as the two shake hands, the video ends.]

[Tally has uploaded an audio file! Will you listen to it?]
[Yes!]
[The audio is already picking up the sounds of indistinct chatter, with the device appearing to be in a gathering spot of some kind within the academy. Nothing interesting of note is heard for several moments, but before long, Cerbera's voice is heard clearly.
“Oh, uh, hey there.” They seem to address someone, curiosity and confusion present in their voice.
The voice replies with a quiet greeting, barely heard through the recording above the chatter of surrounding students. They seem to ask a question of some kind, but the specifics aren't easily identifiable.
“Oh, you saw all that? Yeah, that was me. I'm an exchange student here, but I got enough recommendations that they let me in and advance to go through the Elite Four.” Cerbera begins explaining. “Name's–”
“Cerbera.” The feminine voice interrupts, and though it's finally distinguishable, it's still quiet. “Cerbera, right?” They look for confirmation, voice quick and to the point, as if trying to speak as minimally as possible.
“Oh, uh, yeah. You a fan or something?” Cerbera laughs, though it's tinged with some awkwardness and nervousness. As if realizing this, the other voice hesitates for a moment.
“No. Just heard about you.” They clarify, lightly tapping their fingers against the table. “We should talk. I have information. That you might need.” The voice pauses, seeming to wait for Cerbera's reply. When they're met with stunned silence, they reluctantly continue.
“Multiverse.”
“Shit…” Cerbera breathes. “Okay, yeah, we should talk. How do you know about that? Does anybody else?” Her voice turns more serious now, the awkwardness having completely vanished.
“No. A weird person told me. At least, I think it was.” They pause again, as if considering their own words. “Said they knew you, but you didn't know them. Speaks in riddles. Laughs at nothing.” Another pause. They seem to realize that they may be getting off topic.
“It said I was supposed to be in your place. Things changed. Now you're the lead.” The voice's tone changes a bit, as if the person behind it is becoming more uncomfortable or conflicted.
“You're…” Cerbera trails off, disbelief lacing their voice. For a moment, neither speak, and the only sounds are the distant conversations of the academy's other students.
“Second-rate replacement.” Cerbera laughs to themself, but the sound is bitter, tainted by the remnants of a long-felt resentment, something buried that's finally risen to the surface again. “Right. You were the person the universe actually picked. It's… Man, it's crazy to meet you.” Cerbera laughs again, but this time, it sounds a bit warmer, as if they've chosen to set that resentment aside.
“Wasn't a coincidence.”
“I don't think so either.”
Another pause. Eventually, Cerbera speaks up to break the silence.
“I… I'm glad we're actually able to talk. What's your name?”
The voice hesitates, but eventually, they manage a quiet reply.
[The video begins in what appears to be the same battle court Cerbera had battled Crispin in, though this time, Crispin is nowhere to be seen. Instead, Drayton is seen walking into the frame to approach Cerbera, arms crossed as he studies them with a curious gaze and a practiced smile.
“Yo, champ in the making.” Drayton calls out, giving a casual salute with two fingers. Cerbera, having previously looked ready to leave, pauses in their tracks at the sight of Drayton. She blinks in confusion, before she chuckles when Drayton raises an eyebrow at her.
“You know, I'm technically already a Champion. At least, back home I am.”
“Ah-ah, you aren't home though, are you? You're in my territory.” Drayton grins, outstretching his arms in a dramatic gesture. “Maybe I'll start rethinking things when you've booted Kieran off of the throne.” At that, Cerbera's smile briefly falters, but Drayton continues nonetheless.
“You've still got a long way to go, but that's one Elite Four member beat. Things are lookin’ good for you!” Drayton encourages, seeming to act as if he hadn't even noticed his peer's frown. “Crispin's no pushover– he's just super straightforward. I think that's kinda part of his charm, y'know?” He pauses, closing his eyes as if to reminisce.
“We used to all chow down on Crispin's cooking after club activities let out. Those were the days.” He sighs, his expression turning genuinely sad for several moments. “Guess he's been worrying about the way things are, too, in his own way.” Then, his cat-like smirk returns.
“You just might be the one we need to shake things up in the League Club.” His gaze then begins to turn more curious, more analytical. “You know, I was actually watching the battle. Hope you don't mind, I was just a little curious about how our new hotshot would do.” Drayton offers a friendly smile while Cerbera raises an eyebrow at him.
“Oh, yeah? Guess I was just too focused up to notice.” Cerbera laughs, but it doesn't seem to be out of amusement. He watches Drayton with a curious expression, as if trying to decipher what his peer might be thinking.
“Riiight, focused.” Drayton grins, gaze briefly darting up towards the device recording. Cerbera seems to notice Drayton staring up at the camera lens, since they speak up before Drayton can continue.
“You've got questions.” It isn't posed as a question, but instead as a fact.
“Oh, you think?” Drayton's attention turns back towards Cerbera. “And here I thought I was being subtle.” He comments, though it's with amusement, as if he doesn't actually believe what he's saying.
Cerbera is seen biting her lip as she considers the situation, appearing to contemplate a decision. Drayton seems to notice Cerbera's indecisiveness, and he takes the opportunity to break the silence.
“Hey, no pressure here. This isn't an interrogation or anything.” His smile is still practiced and friendly, but this time, there's a bit more sincerity behind it. “As long as it doesn't stop you from getting the job done, then it's none of my business.” He shrugs, though it's a bit more exaggerated and dramatic, as if he's trying to make Cerbera laugh.
“I just don't know if you'll believe me.” Cerbera laughs, amusement mixing with nervousness as they run a hand through their long hair.
“Hey, what's a friendship without a little trust?” Drayton reaches over to firmly pat Cerbera's shoulder, now standing adjacent to Cerbera, facing the opposite direction. “I'll be around if you ever wanna chat. But, you should know I'm not the only one with questions.” Without another word, he begins walking away to leave at a leisurely pace.
Cerbera opens her mouth to speak, but shuts it again as soon as Drayton gets out of range. She furrows her brows in confusion, and as she glances up at the camera with a suspicious expression, the video ends.]
