❤️‍🩹my headcanon is that Mike had very abusive parents and lived with his grandfather when he was young. But when he eventually passed away,Mike couldn't process it properly...

❤️‍🩹I've noticed that Chester only fronts when Mike gets frustrated,so I assume his grandfather would often get frustrated for him to only associate him with that emotion...

🩷my headcanon for her is that every time Mike was going through a hard time,he would watch a gymnastics show. And every time he would watch,there was always a certain gymnasts that he took a liking too. And every time he had to face a rough challenge,he would try to impersonate her to get through it. And that impersonation turned into an alter-ego.

🩷if you ever go see her perform,you're the first one she tries to find in the crowd.

🩷not a pick-me girl,but often tries to fish for compliments from you.

💚okay,we don't get to see him very often in the show,so I'm going to go off of my own headcanons about him.

💚Manitoba was kind of created the same way Svetlana was,but instead of being created for protecting,he was more created for escaping.

💚whenever Mike would be running away from his abusive household,I would assume he would feel isolated and alone but mostly scared. So,came a new alter ego,one where he wouldn't fear the dangers of the unfamiliar,but face it head on with the brave face.

💚I would also like to think that Mike would bring his late-grandfather's fedora with him every time he ran away. Since Manitoba only fronts when Mike wears a fedora.

💚now,it is canonically confirmed that this man has a HUGE ego.

💚so at first,before he realized he fell for you,he thought that YOU were the one that was obsessed with him. (Projecting 101)

💚so every time he approaches you or talk to you,he thought he was doing you a favor.

💚but then he started to feel his heart racing every time he even got near you.

💚it takes him so long to realize he is the one that has feelings but when he does realize? Absolutely unbearable to be around...

🖤so,after watching TDAS for the 134th time,I was trying to figure out what makes Mal front.

🖤then I started to think about really it,Mal mostly fronts when Mike is at most vulnerable?

🖤idk how to really explain it but for example:where Mal says"one by one,they'll all fall." Is when Chris started announcing the votes on the opposing team,which we can assume that Mike was feeling relaxed since it wasn't his team that lost,he was vulnerable.

🖤or when Mike started to feel dizzy after going on the spinner,Mal immediately fronted. When Mike was at his most vulnerable.

🖤but mostly when Mal was breaking things,it usually was after everyone was asleep,after Mike was asleep. When Mike was vulnerable.

🖤so in conclusion,my guess was that during his childhood,when Mike couldn't defend himself at his most vulnerable,he formed someone who would not only defend him,but also attack those who poses as a "threat".

You're a young girl who just graduated from high school. You've basically live alone your whole life because ever since you were little,your parents CONSTANTLY traveled for work for months on end. The only person who practically took care of you your whole life was your next door elderly neighbor, Chester Stefano. Or as you liked to call him,grandpa Chester.

About a year ago,about 5 of his grandchildren (quintuplets) came to live with him. You didn't even KNOW he had any children,let alone grandchildren! From all your years with him and his constant complaints,you NEVER heard him mention anything about any grandchildren?

Well apparently (from neighborhood gossip),you heard that they were all separated from a young age, and all had HORRIBLE guardians.

They since they were about the same age as you and only had 1 year left of high school,they all did it online. So you never saw them at school,but you DID see them during your weekly visits at grandpa Chester's house.

At first,they were weary of you,but the more times you visited the more they trusted and opened up to you.

Mike was the first one to warm up to you.

Despite his childhood,he was a pretty awkward and friendly guy.

You learned that he was mocked and bullied throughout his childhood.

Growing up,he felt...different than the other kids. And his parents didn't do much better either.

But the more you hung out with him the more you realized something...

Every time you came to visit,he would be the First one to greet you at the door and chat with you.

He always seemed super excited to see you but also super bummed out when you had to leave.

Always INSISTED that you visit them even when grandpa Chester was busy or wasn't home...

Vito was the second one to start liking you.

Now don't get me wrong,he doesn't just blurred out his childhood like how Mike did.

But through bits and pieces of his non stop flirting and showing off his built,you kinda got an idea of what it was like.

Macho man dad,and a stepmom who...uh...let's just say is the absolute CAUSE of all of his problems.

He always acted all tough when he interacted with other people,but with you?

He's like a WHOLE other person...

Svetlana at first thought of you as just another random person who just so happens to visit her grandpa often.

But every time you visited,you were always so nice to her! (As with everyone else)

Svetlana grew up with a very strict retired Russian gymnastics teacher.

Up until she was put in the care of her grandfather,gymnastics was all she ever did.

I mean-don't get me wrong,she still does it regularly.

But in a FAR less...traumatic way.

She always invited you to watch her preform,and you never failed to show up. (Which makes her fall for you more)

Manitoba was a tougher nut to crack than the others.

He didn't trust you,ESPECIALLY because you're a girl.

Manitoba was "raised" by an Australian man who made him do outdoor work CONSISTENTLY and was a sexist at heart. <3

Took him like 4 months to warm up to you...

When he did warm up to you he was a really interesting person to be around.

He told you all the adventures he did during his childhood and all the cool stuff he's found.

He's a little bit of a sexist but not as bad as he was raised to be...

Mal half a YEAR to at least acknowledge you. (Which is a lot)

You learned from the others that Mal's childhood was...anything BUT pleasant....

When you guys DO hang out,it's either writing EMO poems or just sitting together in silence (which you both don't mind)

You enjoyed hanging out with them. Although there some...things that they do that are a bit odd...you love spending time with them regardless.

At your most recent visit however,things took a TERRIBLE turn...for you at least.

About 3 months ago when you entered the house,they were all in the living room looking...upset? When you asked what's wrong,Mike suddenly announced a sibling meeting upstairs and left you with Chester. He explained to you that they're moving to a different city with a bigger house. That majorly bummed you out because you're new friends and the man who practically raised you are now leaving...and up until the move,they started acting WEIRDER.

When the day of the move finally arrived,you decided to visit one last time to say goodbye.

Chester was downstairs arguing with the movers about something while the others were upstairs in Mike's room. When you came inside,Mike and Svetlana were the first to hug you. But something was...off. They didn't seemed like they were going to miss you? But they were also very happy to see you,Mal noticed your concern and handed you a water bottle. The water tasted...weird but you just chalked it up to your confusing feelings. The had about 3 hours before they left and you thought you would just Hang out with them until it was time for them to go...

Until your vision went black.

When you woke up,you were in an unfamiliar room? You thought it was a dream until Mike came in with a glass of water. You were SO confused now. That's when he explained EVERYTHING. You see,after you warmed your way into Mal's heart,they all decided right then and there that they NEEDED to have you at all times. When they heard about the move? THATS when they started planning. Then suddenly,everything made sense now.

How Mike always asked for every single DETAIL about your life...

How Vito always "randomly" picked you up to see how strong he was...

How Svetlana always challenged you to a race to "see who's the fastest"...

How Manitoba always asks to play hide and seek to "see if he can track you" in difficult hiding spots...

How Mal always carefully watch you write like he was studying your handwriting...

This was crazy...they practically KIDNAPPED you! N-no way they'd actually get away with it,right...? I mean your parents must notice something when get back from there recent work trip!

Well as it turns out,Mal created a note stating that since you're no longer in high school,you've decided to move with in with them in your exact handwriting...

But what about your things? Surely it would be suspicious to move without any of your belongings right.

But as you looked around the room you're currently in,you realized that ALL your stuff was there! Then that's when everything clicked...

You see,while you were passed out from the "water" Mal gave you,they took your house key and went inside your room to pack all of your belongings while Mal was writing your "goodbye letter" and left your house key.

But what about grandpa Chester? Surely he doesn't believe you'd AGREE to live with them?

Well remember,he's been with you for your WHOLE life...practically family! So it wasn't really hard to convince him that you wanted to come with them.

Well then you would just tell him the truth,right? But you didn't want him to see his grandkids in a different way...they've all been through enough,haven't they?

So,you decided to suck it up and live with the Stefano family...for as long as you have too...
