"I can't comprehend what is going through some people's minds when they talk. I went on a date last night and she straight up told me she only wanted to date so she could become famous." He shook his head but gave a laugh. "I can laugh about it now, but still." @ggstarterblog

"Fuck that man, that is some bullshit." He looked at his friend. "I'm glad you find it funny now, but you shouldn't have to put up with it at all."

"You're disgusting, you know that? The audacity to stand here and act like you didn't spend a year pretending to be my best friend just to tear me down. I don't mesh with trash. So do both of us a favor and keep yourself far away from me." Belle, writhing with anger when she saw her former best friend at the mall who made fun of her. She turned on her heel, walking back to her friend who was waiting by the display of bouquets. "God, I'm so sorry." Belle muttered and sighed as she looked at the person. "Remind me why I ever let people like that get close to me. Anyway, thanks for helping me choose the flowers for the wedding. Peonies or lilies? What do you think?" @ggstarterblog

"Belle, you're asking the wrong person, you know that." He said with a laugh. "I don't know anything about weddings or what kind of flowers should go with one."

"Hmm, I think that's just...weird to assume from someone, you know?" She cocked her head to the side and looked at the person who had been trying to get her number. "Just because I'm single doesn't mean I want to date, especially someone who looks like he peaked in high school." She walked away and over to someone she knew and said, "We need to go and get drinks." @ggstarterblog

Carter laughed. "I will never turn down a drink, but you know, you have connections, Waverly, if you want him gone, he can be gone."

"That is very true." She agreed and looked at Carter. "Though, I do like how Gossip Girl seems to be going off and people seem to not like her as much anymore."

"Well now that you've said that, she's just going to start writing about you again." He said with a laugh. Though he knew that it wasn't a joke, and that it wasn't outside the realm of possibilities for Gossip Girl to attack Aurora or anyone who spoke ill about the anonymous blogger. "How are you doing though? Anything new going on with you?"

Jenny is standing far too close to Carter for this to be strictly about tailoring. The studio lights are warm, casting a soft glow over dark fabric and scattered pins. She circles him slowly, thoughtful, fingertips grazing over his shoulders as she smooths down the line of his jacket “Don’t move,” she murmurs gently.

Carter had meant what he said when he told Jenny that he still cared for her and he wanted to make things work between them. Looking at her as she circled him, he smiled at her. "Maybe I just like watching you work like this, you touching me like this." He winked at her and put his hands on her's. "You know I can never really relax, Jenny. It's not who I am." He shook his head.

Violet nodded slowly and looked around and up at the sky and frowned. "How can you see the sky from here? The buildings are so tall." She looked at Carter again.

"That's kind of what Manhattan is known for, huge skylines and not being able to see the sky." He looked at Violet. "Do you prefer to see the sky?"

Violet slowly relaxed, but not fully. She looked at Carter and nodded. "Thank you." She said and looked around and then back at Carter. "What is this place?"

"You're welcome." Carter said and raised a brow. "Uh, this place is called New York City, more specificially, Manhattan."

"How the fuck did I survive the Parapet, Gauntlet, Threshing, two wars and being poisoned, but I can't work this stupid fucking thing." Violet groaned to herself as she stared at her cellphone. She still had no idea what it fully was besides a device to make phone calls with, but she wasn't even sure what a phone call even was.

"Whoa, I promise I wasn't trying to fight you or attack you." Cater held his hands up and looked at her with wide eyes. He took a step back from her and said, "You were about to walk right into traffic and Manhattan doesn't care who you are, the cabbies will run you over."

"Well it sounds like those days off came just in time then." Carter looked at Sofia and smiled at her. "I'm doing really good. Life has been good, but not in the way that has me thinking that the other shoe is going to fall anytime soon, you know?"

"they really did." sofia said with a smile. "oh i love hearing that. hopefully the other shoe doesn't fall anytime soon."

"One can only hope, you know?" Carter asked and looked at Sofia. "I just have to keep taking it one day at a time."

"Why does it feel like I've been stuck in January for at least two years now? I know it's supposedly the longest month of the year but it's taking 84 years to move." She laughed with her friend as she grabbed her bag to walk over to the school, the first days of it were always hard. Kids didn't want to be there and teachers had way too much on their minds with the start of the year, thankfully Mary was prepped for the beginning of the school year since the beginning of December.

"I have no actual answer or reason as to why January feels to last forever." Carter said with a chuckle. "I just take every month day by day and hope Gossip Girl doesn't talk about me."

"i am so exhausted. i just had to work four sixteen hour shifts at the hospital and of course, they all lasted longer than sixteen hours. i'm just glad that i have the next three days off." sofia took a sip of her coffee and exhaled. "anyways, how have you been?" @ggstarterblog

"Well it sounds like those days off came just in time then." Carter looked at Sofia and smiled at her. "I'm doing really good. Life has been good, but not in the way that has me thinking that the other shoe is going to fall anytime soon, you know?"
