If I’ve liked/reblogged anything pertaining to the previous reblog which aligns with Kitsch’s former friends (eg. ‘let people headcanon what they want’ posts), please know I did so in the mistaken belief that the content of the post was genuinely supportive of marginalised folks’ headcanons as well as normative default ones.

Not how I envisioned formally coming out on here, but- as a newly hatched nonbinary person, I don’t have any time for the assertion that transmasc representation takes anything away from the huge majority of content creators working from a cis default. Especially not the thinly-veiled notion on show here that depicting a much-thirsted-over character as trans- instead of cis-male somehow revokes his ‘attractive man’ status.

Originally, I planned to apologize for this. I’ve typed and retyped the phrase “I really hate what I’m about to do” obsessively for the last twenty minutes before realizing that actually, the only thing I hate about this situation is that this is what it’s come to.

I’ve done my best over the course of the latter part of last year to say as little as possible in regard to the angry, bigoted bullshit that’s been thrown my way. I took it on the chin when I was told to stop drawing cartoons, and I attempted to turn an ableist outburst into something positive when I got scolded for seeing my ADHD traits in Papa III. But I’m tired. I’m so fucking tired. And I can’t stay quiet anymore.

So no, I’m not sorry for what I’m about to do. I’m just done.

Under the cut is my response to the deluge of transphobic rhetoric I’ve had to endure at the behest of ppl I once thought of as friends.

Kitsch, I’m so sorry you and your actual friends had to deal with this, what the fuck.

I was following several of these people and promoting them as artists. This whole situation had completely flown over my head because of my recent hiatus here. Disappointed but not surprised to learn that yet another batch of people have coasted by in the community with their privilege and ignorance under a skin-deep veneer of ‘uwu Ghost fandom so accepting’.

Oh haha no I’m just a cis girl :) I just like the androgynous dapper goth look but I can’t pull it off really :) wanting my obnoxious big tiddies to disappear doesn’t have to mean anything :) that dream about having a flat chest and male pattern body hair was just a funny dream :) looking in the mirror or looking down and not recognising a chunk of my torso as Me doesn’t mean anything :) spending the first ten years of life fantasising that I’m genderless and can pick one later if I want, feeling like a wild beast forced into clothes whenever I try to wear a dress or skirt or heels, and feeling queasy and Wrong while trying to deal with makeup or long hair or bras well into your 20s are just the kinds of things all cis girls and young women do! I’m just a big silly!! I absolutely do not need to face up to any of this internally and definitely shouldn’t vocalise it to the people I love, I’m sure just ignoring this will work out fine :)

What's puzzling you is the nature of my game

It has always been to my understanding that the story behind the band Ghost and the Clergy is that they work in the service of Satan and the antichrist (very tongue n cheeky) Satan is kinda like Ghost’s muse and the Clergy greases the wheels, keeps the ‘message’ alive, promotes and merchandizes the band.

But that doesn’t mean it doesn’t have deeper meaning.
