Tiffany hated feeling like she pulled Zac from their bed over something like this. She was was a bodybuilder and a wrestler and should be able to handle this but she kept hearing a little voice in her head that said tonight wasn't the night to act tough and to use her brain and listen for once. "Okay, baby and sorry for dragging you out of bed." She hated how worried she sounded and tried to lightened to tone of her voice. "I will, I'll stay put till you get here." She got off the phone and picked up her drink, thanking the bartender as she did. "Some night huh?" He asked as she nodded her head and went to take another sip of her drink when her phone rang. "Where are you? Oh, are all of you okay?" She asked and she talked to her friend on the phone. "It's fine, some creep tried to get me to leave with him but I maced him and now Zac is headed over to pick me up. We'll talk tomorrow but tell everyone I'm glad they're okay." She got off the phone and wondered what else could happen tonight?
Seeing Zac, her eyes lit up and she wrapped her arms around him and lay her head on his chest. The tears that she had been holding in all night began to fall. "The girls didn't show up and I was going to leave when he approached me. I just talked to Chelsea and they got into a small wreck but they're fine." She wondered how they would have went had the girls all been there. "He started hitting on me and so I told him to leave me alone and he got angry and I ending up macing him and the bartender threw him out. I just want to go home." Home where she felt safe unlike how she felt before Zac got there.
His brows furrowed together as she apologized for dragging him out of bed. “No, no. Don’t be sorry. It’s fine. I’m glad you called me so I could come pick you up rather than leaving you alone here.” There was no reason for her to feel bad about him getting out of bed. “It’s not like I was sleeping yet anyway. I was waiting up for you,” Zac had no intention of going to sleep until he knew Tiffany was at home anyway.
As soon as he got there, he could sense something was wrong as she wrapped her arms around him. He rubbed her back in a slow and comforting matter as he pressed a kiss against the top of her bed. “Oh gosh. I’m glad that they didn’t pick you up.” He was glad her friends were okay, but he was happier that Tiffany wasn’t in the car when they got into the accident. He could feel his own anger wash over him as she explained what happened with the guy that night. “Let’s go home. I’ll draw you a bath and then we can curl up in bed.” He suggested as he pulled back and took her hand. He helped her up and then walked her out to the street where his car was, opening the passenger side door for her and then got into the driver side and pulled away from the curb.
