rolling her eyes when he stepped back, cosima mentally groaned, âgod, donât act so surprised. demons didnât die out, we just donât show ourselves as often. people get scared.â she shrugged her shoulders, âiâm not strange, or crazy, or any other form of that word you can think of.â eventually she calmed herself down, and looked at the keys again, âyep i am. i donât appreciate bastard hunters stealing from me.â cosima and hunters never got along, with all the exorcisms happening around her, she didnât show off her black eyes to everyone. âhelp me out? really? and what would you help me out with?â she near scoffed at the though.Â
By now, the shock of seeing a demon had worn off and William went back to being himself. It honestly made a lot of sense for demons to hide themselves more these days. âOh Iâm not sure about that. Whether youâre a demon or not, you seem plenty crazy to me. Less crazy but crazy still. Then again, everyone in this town is a little bit crazy. Youâd have to be to kick it here.â He might have been more on guard now but he wasnât about to stop his mouth. It was too much fun to piss people off. âI donât know if I would track someone down for three years just for some money. I mean, with what we can do , you can just as easily make more.â He followed that up with a shrug. âI dunno. Maybe give you a massage, you seem really high strung. Or I can offer you a drink. Iâm sure that would help a bit.âÂ
