𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐧𝐞𝐱𝐭 𝐛𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫.

harry startles slightly,  having just been flicking through a book,  but a smile is on his features when he looks up at her.   he shakes his head,  reassuringly,  “  no worries  !   you’re okay.  ”   he hadn’t been waiting all too long,  anyways.   “  maybe there just needs to be open interest in it first  ?   i’m sure they’ll come around if others in the community want it.  ”   he’d been lucky that when he’d asked about conducting his research in noelani,  he had gotten the green light.

“I suppose you’re right, but without budgeting people won’t want to be a part of a production. It’s like . . . an endless cycle of sadness.” Juno frowned a little, taking a seat from across the other and setting her folder aside. “And as much as I love dancing, I’m not conducting some flash-mob dance to get everyone’s attention. I’d be the laughing-stock of Noelani.”

dabi wasn’t a people person, it was probably the first thing that should really be noted about him. then again, being on an island with strangers.. mostly stranger. well it meant he had to at least try. try? that was the word right? he’d see how it went, he supposed. “huh.. guess i can get that, in a way.” he shrugged. “didn’t really have sports in japan, was more about training the heroes than caring about the rest of us. so i’d rather hope the mayor isn’t an ass that picks and chooses favourites.” then again, dabi hadn’t really offered any interaction to the mayor as of yet, didn’t really know what kinda person they were. the scarred male did laugh a little though at her reaction. “dancing and singing? yea, definitely not my thing. too much effort and too much.. enthusiasm. energy.”

“Cherryton took more pride in their drama department, but of course, the athletes always come out on top. Nobody can beat the popularity of a tiger. Well, perhaps the lions.” To anyone who knew Juno, that would make sense, in school they were classified by animals; her being a grey wolf. Obviously, here, that was not the case. “That’s where the caffeine comes in, I ALWAYS drink caffeine water before practices, without it I’m a total skeleton.”

dabi raised a brow, not really caring too much if the girl was late or not really. not that.. he actually remembered entirely what she was late to either.. sue him, he didn’t pay a fuck load of attention sometimes. “doesn’t matter to me. i mean, that’s usually how people in power positions are, so if you didn’t get a clear answer you probably never will.” so yea, maybe he still had a minor problem with authority and shit like that. he turned to her again though, “what’s even exciting about theatre? s’never interested me much.”

Juno wasn’t new to people dismissing her enthusiasm; in Cherryton it was quite often. Damn Legoshi. Damn Haru. So, she wasn’t hurt or offended at the other’s response, not yet at least. “I’m hoping here will be different than Cherryton, and that for once the mayor will put more faith in the arts than in the football team.” She joked, then gasped and put her hand over her heart in mock-offense. “There’s plenty of things that are exciting about it! For me, it’s mainly dancing. I was never much of a singer.”

╰ ˚ꕤ. — holy cow ! did you just see juno from beastars ? you know, i’ve heard that that she’s an eighteen year old female. she tends to be talkative but can totally be possessive — gah , i hope they enjoy their stay in noelani !
