For Tove Jansson, drawing and writing was a way to see the world. Her life partner Tuulikki Pietilä worked as a graphic artist, but she also expressed herself through filming with her Super 8 camera and recording life and music on cassettes. On their travels together, they often recorded music on the radio and then Tove illustrated the mixtape cassette covers, inspired by people and events on the trips. The punk rocker on the cover depicts in detail a specific punk rocker Tove saw on the street in London in the beginning of the 1980s.
