                         after nearly a decade of coveting after his brother’s girlfriend only to end up leaving the entirety of the situation scathed and burnt, he’d closed off the possibility of ever entertaining the idea of love again. so he spared no niceties, didn’t indulge in pillowtalk, and sure as hell didn’t sleep with the same women more than once. especially not one of such a young age as she, a girl with a fiery disposition that only youth could gift her and a confidence that had yet to be shattered. from past experiences, girls of her demographic often mistook lust for love, a bite on the neck as a sign of marking territory, and should’ve been the exact image of what he needed to avoid anything more than a one night stand with. but fate had its fickle ways and their presences had collided once more as a one night stand become two, then three. he’s managed to get his shirt buttoned on as he feels the flesh of her palms make contact with his neck, a warm touch that he remains unfazed by as he adjusts himself. if he ever planned on making it to work on time, he’d have to leave the building and book it back home to change into proper business attire within the next two minutes; playing into her taunting with any form of response would only delay him further. slipping on his shoes, he’s got himself making a beeline towards the door but pauses for a short goodbye, a smirk settling on his features. he can’t leave her too coldly, after all. it’s not in james’ nature to go quietly into the night. “ i think it’s you who does the crawling between the two of us. but don’t worry, if nothing else, those pretty lips of yours’ll keep a nice little place in my head. up to you to figure out which one. ” and with that, the male swiftly exits the apartment after a quick wink, off to begin his day leading the corporate world.
