She sobbed quietly into her pillow, curling up on the bed as far as her swollen belly allowed. It frustrated her more than she’d admit that she didn’t have full control over her emotions. She had spent so many years controlling all her emotions and it seemed like the pregnancy just ruined it all.

As the bed moved, Elsa turned around to see what happened, raising an eyebrow when she noticed it was Liam who laid down next to her, as if she had expected something else to happen. It didn’t take long for her to lose her eyes again, simply ignoring him.

Until he touched her and her eyes fluttered open once more, pout on her face while facing him. She entwinted their fingers on her belly and let out a soft sigh. “I’m sorry too. It must be less than pleasant to spend time with me now, I’m either crying, yelling or eating.”

the sound of elsa crying tore through his chest & only makes liam feel even guiltier for his teasing comments. he needs to be the supportive husband, not the playful partner.  when elsa opens her eyes once more & laces their fingers together, a small smile appears & he leans down to press a gentle kiss to her forehead. “being with you is never unpleasant,” he gently insists. “it has certainly been a bit more difficult lately, but i wouldn’t trade it for anything. not with what it means.” his thumb brushes over a small section of her belly in emphasis.

Day 17 - Ruby Lucas

With only seconds to choose whether to follow his son or not as Liam stalked from the coffee shop, Brennan hurried after his eldest boy, not being deterred so easily, knowing he deserved the hostile attitude the man was throwing in his direction. It seemed that his location had not been best thought out given the hurried pace Liam had used to get out, though he was pleasantly surprised to see his son waiting outside.
