Chan wakes because of the movement beside him, someone rustling under the blanket and trying to sit up. He groans a little at that, rubbing his face as he groggily opens his eyes.
“Sorry, did I wake you up?” your raspy voice greets him, still covered in sleep yourself.
He immediately sits up after that, as if forgetting it’s the morning after your wedding. He turns to you, your hand shyly gripping the blanket to cover your body.
Chan bites back a grin at the sight, there’s something so endearing about you being shy, your eyes are avoiding his and he can see your fingers visibly tighten around the blanket when his gaze wanders there. He opts to save the teasing for a little later.
“Did you sleep well?” he asks instead, slipping closer to your side so he can plant a kiss on the side of your head. “Does your body hurt?”
When he brings up his hand to place it on your cheek, Chan can tell at once it’s warm from embarrassment. He lets out a tight smile, it’s getting harder to hide back his grin to help you feel less embarrassed from the whole situation.
