I heard there's some drama in the Paralives community with some modders putting their game mods behind paywalls. As someone who has basically no prior history with the simming community, the idea of paying for game mods is insane IMO. Especially when you consider the fact that tons of amazing mods for other games are completely free. Here's a list of a few that come to mind:
-Fallout London (Fallout 4)
-Enderal Forgotten Stories (Skyrim Special Edition)
-Stardew Valley Expanded (Stardew Valley)
-United Aurora Federation (Starsector)
-The MANY custom playable dinosaur/creature mods in Path of Titans
I understand wanting to get paid for the work you put into making a mod. But in that case, give people the option to donate money to you if they feel like supporting your work. And that's not even getting into the fact that Paralives is still in early access, and that future updates could make these paid mods completely unusable or redundant. No clue if anyone's actually gonna see this post, but that's my two cents on the matter

Imagine, after episodes like that, finding out that your stubborn idiot (beloved) husband WHO IS DYING went on a mission and ended up in Raccoon City with no backup and no extraction. 🙃 Chris already losing his mind with preemptive grief and then Leon pulls his re9 stunt.
YES LET'S SCREAM!! Because Chris Redfield lives in my mind rent. free. Imagine literally losing your mind with grief. Forgetting who you are, drifting through life without any memories because it is easier than waking up each day and grappling with the pain. My man had to *claw* his way back to himself and then lost the person who came for him when no one else had (rip piers, my sweet angel)
And not only did Chris lose Piers, but Piers died for the ideal of the BSAA and all it represented to him (i.e. placing the badge in Chris's hand before sacrificing himself). Then the BSAA became corrupted. Louisiana happened. Chris lost faith in the organization he had helped start to make the world better.
And then Leon. Slowly dying in front of his eyes. And no doubt Claire too because she was in Raccoon City. Every thing that has ever meant anything to Chris slips through his fingers.
So he holds Leon tight. He won't let him slip through his fingers the way Jill did when she tackled Wesker out of the mansion, or Piers when he sacrificed himself, or Ethan when he placed Rose in his arms and then turned to face down his own demise.
Until he wakes up one morning and Leon is... gone. The other side of the bed is cold and empty. And his idiot husband has decided he is going on a suicide mission
The fact that Chris doesn't lose his mind a second time? Honestly a miracle. He needs to put an airtag in Requiem so he can track the moron he married through hell and back.
It's all fun and games until Roy figures out how to turn a vampire RPG into Factorio...

People who use ai actually do deserve to be bullied relentlessly btw and you shouldn't baby anyone who tries to defend their use of it in fandom spaces. They believe they deserve recognition and praise for stringing a few words together in the plagiarism pollution machine, but all they deserve is to be spat on.
If someone doesn't have the skill and refuses to learn the skill to execute an idea they are not entitled to use ai to make all their uncreative little thoughts a reality. They should recieve nothing but hostility for thinking it's ok to trample on other people who put a lifetime of effort into learning the skills the ai scraped without consent to create it's worthless output.

I don't know about domestication, but I am of the adamant opinion that if dromaeosaurs or troodontids or oviraptorosaurs were still around today we would have simply considered them to be a type of bird. A weird bird, but weird in the way that an ostrich or a penguin is a weird bird.
