CASTING CALL FOR BASICALLY EVERYTHING INVOLVED WITH MAKING AN ANIMATED FILM

Ottie Ever is attractive, charismatic and clever. And as sly as a fox. Ottie, and their strange and quiet companion Waffle, travel in the Slum Star Bumbler across the galaxy selling the “latest tech at the lowest prices” to anyone dumb enough to believe them. With a flat for the dramatic and a knack for finding things they shouldn’t, as they travel across the universe, they uncover a painful story, angry beings, and the secrets of the universe.
I have had to concept and story outline for my animated show, Space for Sale for years, but I am now finally opening up to you all for help. Just for the record, this will not be paid at the moment and please don’t take it personally if I reject your application, I’m simply trying to keep the team smaller. Although I want to receive the applications through this Amino, the project will take place on a Discord.
Director : (my position) In charge of keeping every department running smoothly and keeping the project on it’s time line.
Assistant Director : someone to help me keep everything in order. I need them to be trustworthy.
Promoting :
Producer - They can give assignments to artists, the head of social media, and editors for promotional content.
Head of Social Media - In charge of keeping up a social media account for the show. They are also in charge of answering any questions on the project.
Assistant - it’s a big job which is going to need help, and they can direct them as they see fit (although if anyone abuses their power come to me and I’ll sort it out.
Artists :
Lead Artist - head of the artists, they take the projects I need done and distribute them among the other artists. This position will be going to someone with experience in leadership and art.
Artists - they do art, mainly promotional and character sheets/ models for the animators to work off of
Storyboarding :
Director - head of the storyboard artists, they take the scenes I need done and distribute them among the other artists. This position will be going to someone with experience in leadership and art, specifically comics, graphic novels, or animation
Storyboard Artists - a smaller group, who’s skills should be based in composition. They will be working close with the animators.
Animators :
Lead Animator - head of the animators, they are in charge of distributing scenes among the other animators and making sure the art style remains consistent. This position will be going to someone with experience in leadership and animation.
Background Animators - In charge of animating backgrounds and bringing the worlds our characters visit come to life.
Rough Animators - In charge of roughly drawing each scene so the movements are fluid and the anatomy is correct.
Line Artists - taking the rough animations and outlining them and cleaning the characters up.
Coloring - they must work closely with the back ground artists to create a complete and visually appealing color palettes.
Editing :
Head Editor - head of the editors, they take the projects I need done and distribute them among the other editors. This position will be going to someone with experience in leadership and editing.
Editors - must have an editing program that doesn’t leave water marks and be open to the possibility of not working on the actual show, but rather promotional material
Special Effects Sounds - this is a sci-fi animation, so there is going to be many sound effects that you will need to come up with how they sound. Be creative and have fun with it.
Musicians :
There is no head of musicians, as this is a more collaborative unit. Majority of the music should NOT be lyrical. 8-bit style music or synthesized music is preferable, however I’m open to using traditional music as well.
Writers :
Head Writer - head of the writers, they take the scenes that need to be done and distribute them among the other writers. This is one of my positions simply because I know the main plot.
Screenwriters - the creative writing team in charge of the script and light directions for the storyboard artists/ animators
Plotting Team - may very well overlap with some of the screenwriters, but there jobs is to help me solidify the outline, plot twists, and character designs. They are the idea tank.
Voice Actors :
I don’t have many character fleshed out enough to begin casting but I would prefer LGBTQ+ actors as many of the characters are LGBTQ+
