Imagine the biggest companies opening their stores on Black Friday, their biggest sales day of the year… to find no employees.

That’s right. This year, we’re going to have an Employee Free Black Friday.

So since our bank decided that -.50 was worth charging $38 in overdraft fees (despite having a second account with more than .50 in it…) our account balance is now negative. Waking up to another day of money problems and debt. Woo.

Seeing as I’ve got no other means of getting enough money to pay it back… I’m going to be offer up commissions to y’all at a reduced rate.

I do cutesy, cartoon-style artwork. Here is a link to a bunch of my examples.

I usually charge $10 for one, or $15 for 2, but for y’all I’m going to add in an extra character, no charge. So now it’s;

2 Characters = $10, 3 Characters = $15

Hey there, Shining Stars,

We managed to scrounge together enough money to pay off our internet bill… only to find out when we went to pay it that they’d now doubled the cost to turn it back on.

The internet is our main source of income (for example, I sell art commissions), so trying to get the funds to pay it off will be impossible. We’re both deeply stressed about this, and I’m personally terrified we’re going to end up homeless all over again. And on top of that, we don’t have access to this blog, so all of the reasons y'all have submitted can’t be posted.

Inktober day 4 - Night in the Woods

Hello my lovely shining stars,

As much as it pains me to have to reach out, I have to admit that I am in a bit of a panic.

We just learned that Comcast is charging us $125 and that we owe $53 of it by the 5th of October, or our service will be cut off.

Our rent was just increased by $50 as well, and I’ve been trying to get in touch with disability to get them to help cover it, but they are (of course) taking their sweet time.

The internet is very important to us for a variety of reasons and we don’t want to lose it if possible.

We would appreciate if you could reblog this post, spread it around, and get the word out. You are all so, so very kind, and I have hope and faith that with your help, we’ll be alright. You have all helped to save us before, so I trust in you.

Hello shining stars!

So for their birthday this year, one of N’s best friends has decided to ask people to donate to a local charity, instead of getting them gifts. We asked them if it would be okay to share the link here and they were more than happy to agree!

This organization is one that is local and one that this person has experience with, as a few of their family members have been involved with it in the past. 

It’s their mission to find homes for all cats - including those with Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), feral cats, and cats that are suited for barn life. They also try to seek out foster families for those sweet babies who are still waiting for their forever homes.

Please spread the word around, share the fundraiser and - if possible - donate to help this sweet little local no-kill shelter.
