Sacra di San Michele X-XI century, Piedmont (northwestern Italy)
It is situated on the south side of the Val di Susa. Umberto Eco’s “The Name of the Rose” was inspired by this monumental abbey.
David Cusick was a Tuscarora (Haudenosaunee) artist who self-published the first known English-language record of Indigenous stories told BY an Indigenous writer-illustrator. His book is called David Cusick’s Sketches of Ancient History of the Six Nations and you can read it for free online.

this tweet has been fucking killing me
________
You will be remembered as a hero. ________
For those wondering about the fox. Grace has a subtle motif with this animal throughout the movie, but especially this shot where they pack this toy fox with his belongings on the Hail Mary. The pose of it looked a little haunting to me, thus prompting this illustration. __________ (Small/large prints are also available on my etsy ❤️)
where my heart is
I’m always so confused when younger people in a fandom ostracize the fandom’s older members. Like, hello, those are our predecessors? Are you going to bully the OG “I like your shoelaces thanks I stole them from the president” MVPs? Would you disrespect the brave women in the 70s who died for our sins writing Spirk fanfiction? Respect the elders who literally prepared this space for you and set up the infrastructure for you to enjoy your favorite media in community with others.

In honor of pride month, here's a list of some lesbian/sapphic movies that, at least from what I see, aren't talked about as much (most of this will be horror):
The Vampire Lovers - this one is an adaptation of Carmilla and, though its not exactly the best representation due to the time it was made, I still love this movie. It's absolutely gorgeous to look at, and I will always love a lesbian vampire
The Incredibly True Adventure of Two Girls in Love - extremely 90s, but also such a cute movie. I'm surprised I don't see this one talked about as much as, for example, But I'm a Cheerleader is. I think it deserves more recognition
Lowlifes - pretty sure this is a Tubi movie so it's not exactly high budget, but it's a really fun horror movie!
It's a Wonderful Knife - this one is a christmas themed movie and yes, is a horror spin on It's a Wonderful Life. I personally think this movie is so underrated
Bound - definitely more well known than the others, but if I ever stop talking about this movie, assume I am dead. I wish every single movie out there was this cool and this dykey
Memento Mori - korean horror movie that is more of a tragedy, but I really liked this one and it's a movie I've found has dug into my brain, and I think about it often
Bit - okay, I will admit I didn't love this movie, but I want to still recommend it and have more people watch it. It's also lesbian vampires, but the main character is a trans woman, played by a trans actress! The reason I didnt love the movie is mainly because I think the story isn't that great, and the visuals could've been way better. I think it had a lot of potential though
Influencer(s) - okay, so Influencer is a horror movie from 2022 and that in itself isnt that gay, but it's a genuinely really good movie. Influencers is the sequel and its gayer! They're very entertaining horror movies, I really recommend them
Fear Street trilogy - I know there's a 4th one now, but I haven't seen it and apparently it's not gay. But I feel like, when these came out, people were talking about them all the time and now that a few years have passed, I rarely see people discuss these movies. But they're fun, they're well made and they're gay! I love the Fear Street trilogy a lot
Cat People (1942) - since its from the 40s, it's obviously not explicit in the lesbianism but also I don't know how you could watch this movie without picking up on the queerness. This movie is very sad, but it's quickly become one of my favorites. Visually stunning with great performances
All Cheerleaders Die - I really need to rewatch this one. I dont remember it too well, but it is gay and I do remember really liking it. It is lower budget though, but still one I'll recommend
D.E.B.S. - so silly and campy, and also genuinely really sweet. I enjoy watching this one a lot!!
The Hunger - only recently watched this one, but ohhhh this film is gorgeous. Sad and tragic, but filled with gothic visuals and some great editing!
The Retreat - low budget lesbian slasher movie!!!!
Imagine Me & You - cheesy and cliche romcom, but with lesbians!!!
Tag - ending this off with a very absurd japanese horror that, while not explicitly gay, I feel like it very much is about being a queer woman in a male-dominated society. This movie is weird and doesn't explain anything to you, but I personally found it fascinating!
just a reminder that theyre both not over their exes, unemployed, and dont shower
