it's the whole point that davepeta comes out of nowhere. they're a big fuckin trans metaphor, as is obvious to anyone who lays their eyes on them
self love is not forming a rigid expectation of who you should be, what you should accomplish, and what you should look like, and then hurting yourself over and over by trying in vain to live up to that impossible ideal. self love takes you by surprise. davepeta is tacky, strains the eyes to look at, they have wolverine claws and big bird wings and cat ears and sunglasses and a cat face and they're wearing a trenchcoat with puffy sleeves over a nightgown. theyre like an oc ripped from deviantart. they are a hodgepodge of opposing traits that seem like they could never fit together. it's nowhere close to the ideal that either of their components imagined for themselves, but they still love it. they find beauty in their own disorder, and constantly discover things about themselves that makes them laugh with shock at the absurdity of their own being. even THEY know how stupid their existence is, and they love it. davepeta's joy makes them beautiful

Similar to the Ghostbusters vs Ghoststoppers vs Ghostblasters thing, Hector and Capo went through multiple names for their group before settling on The Bizzyboys. Some were suggested by one-another, while others came from early members through a suggestion box.
Bizzybashers - rejected by both Capo and Hector for being too violent
Bizzybeanies - Loved by Hector for its approachability. Vetoed by Capo for being too cutesy.
Whimsyboys - Again, too cutesy, Baws
Whimsybeanies - You're going in the wrong direction, Baws.
Bizzybusters - Loved by Capo. Vetoed by Hector due to concerns over copyright/trademark disputes.

B______ - One of Capo's favorites, as he loves dumb meta stuff like this. Vetoed by Hector because he knew his man would actually add/subtract letters as they went. They did not have the money for reprints.
Bizzygyatts - Hector and Capo loved the sound of it, but had no idea of the meaning of the slang. Fortunately, one of the younger recruits informed them.
Sexyboys - Almost happened. It was Hector's birthday. Capo had had a few too many and loudly suggested it. Hector had also had a few too many and thought it was the best idea ever. They called up Poster Boy's, who they were using for printing their branded stuff. Thankfully, the clerk was a bro and asked them to sleep on it. Therefore, they avoided making an expensive mistake.

I feel like you guys would like these funny fellas.... they're a system who run a school together in my hypothetical idea for deltarune chapter 5. it started off as a funny gag with the idea that every classroom you'd enter, you'd find shapes ampersand colours teaching a different subject, but evolved into them being part of a system where every headmate teaches a different class! making a plural character can be tricky but it's also a fantastic exercise in character design.
(shapes and marmalade use they/them, navy and vermillion use she/her, turquoise and offwhite use he/him. shapes & colours is the principal!)
