Sem's CRK AU Dump

Don't get me wrong, I still have passion for this AU! But I've noticed I haven't really enjoyed continuing it as much as I did when I first conceptualized it last year. I think this is most definitely noticeable with how I've barely been making content with Overthrown ever since I came out with FOFHAU. With the exception of the inbox posts but, outside that there hasn't been too much lore posting.

Even when I already established the general worldbuilding and main story beats, I'm actually so torn with a lot of how everything occured in the first place. Behind the scenes, I kept changing scenes in my head, like how Pure Vanilla eventually spiraled into Hollow Vanilla. I never really had a lot of solid ideas for arcs like Rusted Cheese's. I couldn't decide for a lot of character statuses. And more.

Tbh, it's such an unexplainable feeling but for some reason: I felt unsatisfied with how the story was going and how I made the characters, especially the Usurper Ancients. I think it also definitely had something to do with how it was first created when I JUST got into Cookie Run, help- so a good chunk of the story, to me at least, is a little unstable because I hadn't reached a lot of important points in the canon story yet. I had a specific vision for Overthrown, but the way I've set up the story wasn't exactly following it.

A part of me had been thinking of stopping Overthrown. BUT. Ultimately? I don't wanna completely stop with Overthrown. I don't wanna leave it, because with how long I've been posting about it, there's a lot of unanswered questions and unexplored territories. Heck, Overthrown is my FIRST cookie run AU and this blog wouldn't have existed without it! Even if my interest/motivation in making content of it has been dwindling, I wouldn't wanna give it poor treatment. Because as an artist/writer (writer for fun), it is part of my prides and joys.

I know I've said I'll delve into specific parts of the AU like certain characters or events before, but... those will have to wait until I lift the hiatus.

For those who followed me for Overthrown AU: I'm really sorry for this late update regarding it. It took some time for me to think this one through and decide. Feel free to unfollow me if it's only Overthrown AU you were interested in. Regardless, I'd like to thank you all for your support and for engaging with one of my stuff! I appreciate them LOTS.

But if you want to stick around for my FOFHAU posts, then by all means, go ahead. :3 Again, thank you and I'm eternally very grateful 🙏🙏

As of this post, Overthrown AU will be put in an indefinite hiatus. This is to give myself time to recover some motivation surrounding it and also tweak more of the storyline... There will be little to no posts about Overthrown in the meantime, but I may make an illustration or two if I'm up to it! Not guaranteed, though. Another reassurance: I will still celebrate Overthrown's blog anniversary when it comes around :D And of course, include characters from the AU for specials, anddd include it in a masterpost in the future.

As for how long the hiatus may be... I'm not sure- I won't give an estimate, but it can very well be short or long - depending on when I'll feel ready again.

Imagining Rich Cheese's interactions with them is so FUN istg,, she loves em all though she wishes they'd give her a chance to be let outside the kingdom without her mom knowing... I will say though, Mozzarella is the most supportive and sympathetic about it out of the three, but she'd rather not disobey Radiant Cheese. Mayhaps she prefers supporting from the sidelines, though

And aside from training Rich Cheese, Smoked Cheese also goes flying with her whenever she wanted to wander around the virtual city! He works like her chaperone. She found him a bit intimidating at first but overtime, she warmed up to him anddd sees him as the cool uncle because of the tricks he'd give her :D

As for Burnt Cheese.... one can only know how many attempts Rich Cheese has already made to try and get him to let her out-- He's as stoic and duty-driven as ever, it's for her own safety and it's her mother's orders but. One can only do so much in an enclosed dimension, no matter how many fun stuff is inside

It's only been two days since Nimbus passed, thankfully my other 3 cats are doing okay so far but the house feels so weird and strange in her absence. Nimbus was akin to a rebellious teenager but she was sweet asf nonetheless- the most affectionate and sociable out of the four of my little cat siblings really,, she loved giving us surprise leg rubs but it'd hurt cuz she'd always bite my legs/feet xD annoying, sure? but its the lovable kind of annoying; she was just wired like that and i miss it sm
