What could be more enjoyable than going beyond everything you have ever taken yourself to be—including being a lump of cellular matter—and coming to know yourself as the power of unchanging life, the vast expanse that can never be turned on or off, that is uncaused, and unborn and due to being unborn will never die. Something that isn’t born can’t die. By knowing yourself as this, more and more your identity will be perfected as indescribably pure and spontaneous benefit.

However, by gaining confidence in open intelligence as the root of everything that you know about yourself, just by this sole act of the power of gaining confidence in imperturbable open intelligence, you will come to see that your body is vast and indestructible like infinite space. You will see that there was never a time when you were turned on and there will never be a time when you will be turned off.

After we gain some confidence in open intelligence, that becomes clear. We couldn’t possibly go the way of conventionality once we start to gain confidence in open intelligence. It becomes impossible because you can’t suddenly have amnesia about the benefits of open intelligence. It’s impossible once you taste that nectar; you cannot turn away from it. It is all-seductive and all-consuming. It consumes all ideas that you’ve had about yourself: who you take yourself to be, who others take you to be, and it consumes also your past, present and future, swallows it up completely. This is the way you want it to be, because this is a carefree life of great accomplishment.

When it comes to gaining confidence in pure open intelligence, progress is made gradually for most people. It isn’t necessarily true for all people, but for most people progress is made gradually. If that’s the way it is for you, then just accept that. First gain confidence in open intelligence as the basis of all of your thoughts and emotions. Then based upon gaining mastery there, you will be able to gain mastery over the data regarding your physical body. More and more you will identify yourself with the wisdom body: the skillful body of all-encompassing pure open intelligence that is a permanent expanse free from destruction and vulnerability.

If you bog yourself down in conventional ideas, then you’ll just be a “bogged down someone” all of your life. That is very disappointing. There can be no bigger disappointment then that: to just wallow around in conventional ideas when all the while the very basis of who you are is this pure open intelligence that is entirely cognizant, conscious or aware and does nothing but emanate benefit.

To realize pure open intelligence as one’s own nature is to realize the purpose and benefit for which one is intended. It’s as simple as that.

There is only one place to find well-being and that is in yourself. If you find it in yourself, then you know it is possible for everyone. Then it isn’t up to you any longer to run around trying to ensure everybody’s well-being, because you have come to see that it can only come from inside them.

We can’t rely on our loved ones for our well-being either. We have a childhood fantasy that some day we will have the perfect loved ones and then they will give us a tremendous sense of well-being. We will have our tight circle of sympathetic attachments, and we will be in there and be ever so happy, and at last everything will be the way it is supposed to be. We are all looking for this, but we can’t count on that for well-being either. If you don’t know that yet, admit it now, because the truth is that it is probably very unlikely that we will ever have a truly deep connection with anyone, unless we are extremely fortunate. All these ideas about where well-being might come from or that it might come about somewhere in the future are insanity.

Relying on open intelligence releases that tremendous energy of connection and real caring and good cheer that allows us to open up to the degree that we can go beyond what is expected of us and contribute our strengths, gifts and talents in a powerful way.

Why not take it easy and make it easy? Why struggle so much to describe everything that is going on? This is very important. By the power of open intelligence, there isn’t any necessity to get into all the descriptive factors about anything. Just glide along as open intelligence and allow its soothing energy to be the essence of everything without interpretation or analysis of what is occurring. In this way everything becomes effortless. By the single power of gaining confidence in open intelligence, it becomes very, very clear that this is all that is necessary to ground one’s self in total well-being.

Why not check out a broader experience of what it means to be human? Why not learn about yourself in a fresh way rather than the tired ways that have never brought about happiness, that have never brought about the release of the tremendous energy within you that contribute your strengths, gifts and talents? What is the point in continuing to rely on what doesn’t work? What works is for human beings to feel that ease in life and to feel empowered to act in beneficial ways. That is what works!

In day-to-day experience, the realization of open intelligence brings about continuous soothing energy, perfect mental stability, greatly enhanced intellectual and emotional capacity, and the ability to relate skillfully and beneficially in all situations without impediment. These attributes become evident as qualities and activities of one’s true identity.

By the power of simply resting as open intelligence, we are no longer engulfed by the hustle and bustle of the compulsive trivia of data. Rather, the monumental stability of open intelligence is our comfort, identity and home. Its protection is indestructible and cannot be swayed. The stability of indestructible open intelligence is what we come to rely on in all of our affairs; it never fails us.

All phenomena including mind and body are without basis, and there is no possibility that any of them has a foundation. The indivisible exposition of pure intelligence reveals that phenomena are an illusory visible display without independent origin, without ultimate distinctness, and without ultimate identity. As the body itself is a datum that has no finite essence, upon gaining confidence in open intelligence as one’s sole identity, it is clear that the perception of the body is forever self-releasing in the here and now.

Your own data, are the perfect opportunity for gaining confidence in open intelligence. If other people understand what you’re doing—or not—it really doesn’t matter, because open intelligence itself needs to be what you’re identifying with, rather than identifying with other people’s opinions to get juice for feeling okay. If you put your trust in open intelligence rather than the flapping jaws of descriptions, then you’ll be okay, no matter what comes up.

What has to come first is the one hundred percent commitment to open intelligence above all else. It doesn’t matter what you’re doing. If you have a family and a job that doesn’t have anything to do with gaining confidence in open intelligence, it doesn’t really matter. By gaining confidence in open intelligence, you will either continue on doing the same job or you’ll evolve into something else. It is likely you will evolve into something else, because you’ll see greater possibilities about what your life is about. You can never know unless you take it all the way. That’s really true. At the same time, open intelligence is self-affirming, so it isn’t like you’re banking on a high-risk investment or something else that is scary.

If you gain confidence in open intelligence, all your concerns about money, food, sex, shelter, clothing, work, every other concern you might have will resolve in the bright light of open intelligence. You’ll find something really incredible: you will find that you have never had to worry about any of these things. Your worry and concern, your valiant attempts to try to get all these things into your life were secondary at best; these are really not the place to invest your time or energy when it comes to understanding human life or understanding the purpose of human life and the potential of your own body and mind.
