This week I was in my daughters' school, to facilitate "Art of Communication & Design" workshop for 6-10 yrs olds. What I learnt; 1-Children have a lot of compassion. As they were designing their perfect city and school, they questioned why adults build a lot of buildings with cement and destroy the nature. They didn't judge us, but instead tried to relate to adult thinking. One said; Maybe while growing up, adults wanted to forget their dreams because they were traumatized, that's why they might have ended up with bad designs. (Me like; 😳) 2-Collaboration is a skill we need to learn and practice at school. Children were having hard time designing together as groups, I saw little reflections of us, mini adults struggling in companies to collaborate... Design thinking, communal learning and Socratic Dialogues are what I suggest as basic methods to learn for all children (and adults). 3-Children are awesome, I love them, I adore them. Last picture is one group's perfect school design; a giant solar energy plane, visiting schools and other communities around the world, they feel they are one big family with all the children around the world so why to seperate themselves with countries and walls? Oh they also grow their own plants, and cook together while flying. They also have a lab to test and learn. Boring chores on the plane? Robots take care of them of course 😂😂😂 Hey @elonmusk , wanna give this design a try? This is my natural habitat; to be with children.
