Concepts
There's many settings that just haven't been touched to any real extent by video-games, I'm sure that when I actually get into the meat of what they are all about that there will be some huge issues I've never really thought of.
- World War One/Wars previous that also had guns. - I can see why this hasn't been done in games. Automatic Weapons didn't exist and therefore game play is slow. The wars themselves were boring. Sit in a hole for a few months, get Dysentery and then march out, get shot in the gut and left to die a slow painful death as your stomach acid slowly eats away your vital organs.
- Aztec/Incan History. - Let's face it. It's not a pretty time of history. lot's of Sacrifice and Brutal War. However the Mythology and other stuff is fantastic once you get into it.
- Norse History. - This has been done, sometimes badly (that horrible game where you had guns and shot black demons) and sometimes great, With dragons (Skyrim)
- Space - has been done in games a LOT. There's a few tabletop ones I'm familiar with However they all have their own idiosyncrasies problems.
