“Alright sorry, Camilla.” He rolled his eyes. “No, I’m not. But, maybe if you’re nice, I’ll buy you coffee.”

“Mmhm, that’s what I thought you said.” He pulled out a gift bag from behind his back. “There’s also a junk food basket in my cabin.”

“I said it’s two thirty in the afternoon, kid and you’re sleeping on a bench.”

“Well, with an attitude like that, you won’t get your gift.”

Cameron nodded slowly and soon cracked a small smile. “I love you too, y’know.” He kissed the top of her head and hugged her.

Cam looked at her for a while without saying anything. He knew she was right, but it was still damn hard for him to believe that he was this good person that she says. “I know, but I still feel like a fuck up sometimes. I don’t know what I’d do without you, you’re one of the only reasons why I’m not the same person I was almost a year ago.”

“Mm, that’s a good point. I get it, but after everything that has happened this past year and last...it’s hard to believe.”

“I look fifteen? Have you seen yourself? I’m nineteen.”

“Nope. What smart decisions have I made?”

“Nope, not risking it. I know I am, Alia. Have you ever known me to make smart decisions?”

“I don’t know and I almost don’t want to. I don’t know, I was sixteen and an idiot.”

“I would call you something embarrassing but you’d punch me. The stupidest thing I’ve ever done was drive drunk. I still have no idea why I did that.”
