life has not alway been easy for me you see. i am black. i am a woman. and i am in love. im in love with a shadow. ive been in love for at least 3 years. and let me tell you, loving a shadow is the hardest thing i have ever done so far. i cant hug him or kiss him. when i reach for him, my arms disappear and looks as though they have been mutilated. but i can tell him my secrets. he listens before he leaves me. i can dance with him, as the day comes to an end. but every night. every single night. he is unreachable.my cries go unheard and i feel like im on ice. its cold how he treats me. he leaves me and then pops up when my heart is aching and at its weakest. and i bring him close to me. i take him back. every day.
