i have probably made this clear through various facetious dictatorial edicts but i really find it odd and offputting how much fandom-posting gets couched in the language of permission... "you're allowed to like X", "let people enjoy things", "you can do whatever you want forever" -- why are these people trapped in a perpetual game of mother-may-i with everybody they interact with?

What if in like 10 years we find out that this was actually the best possible material to show 2-6 year olds for their development.
