No matter which realm or the circumstances she’s been summoned to, Artoria’s motivations always remained the same: to ensure everyone’s qualms are put at ease as her noble intentions would lead to (even to the point of being rather excessive and perhaps bothersome). 

“Hakuno.” She spoke up, hoping to get her attention. While their interactions were limited to simple how-are-you’s and battle strategies, Artoria still made it a point to ensure the well-being of her allies as time would allow it. “Are you well? I wanted to make sure you've gotten sufficient rest lately.”

“Yes – I will admit, those buns look rather nice.” Her expression and tone remained sincere. Was the fact that they had caught Saber’s interest really that obvious?

“Oh… are you sure, though? I do not wish to impose, in case they were meant for others. But – perhaps one shouldn’t be so bad. Thank you.” She takes one from the tray and pauses, before reaching out a hand again.

Shinji Matou... when her eyes slowly recognized him, memories began flooding in about the previous war’s climactic showdown. The elusive Grail that she had so long sought to obtain -- to rid the world of a blight caused by her own doing -- was actually all a fabrication that had fooled everyone.

And there she was who played the fool, witnessing the abomination caused by Gilgamesh’s actions after forcibly selecting a new vessel for the Grail. Saber remembered how horrifying that monster was, how the entirety of Fuyuki would’ve been engulfed into flames had they not acted fast.

While they were mutual enemies in the war (as was its nature), Saber held no animosity towards Shinji after all was said and done. He was very much a victim as everyone else who fell to their own devices, and the price to pay wasn’t exactly so easy to recover from. For destruction to have repeated alongside history... and she was completely unaware of the Grail’s true nature both times.

“... you are Shirou’s classmate, are you not? Even with the passage of time, I can still recall -- the Grail War, I mean.”

Promised the choice of whatever location for their day-off would be, Saber naturally chose the one place she’s been eyeing for awhile now: that one building with all the flashing lights and loud music they’ve kept passing for awhile now. The arcade, is what it’s called?

Not so much all the high-octane games that gobbled your money up, but the high-octane UFO prize machines that gobbled your money up. They had plushies -- and lots of them.
