Whose wishes are granted the gift of Dendro?

Dendro is considered to be the element of wisdom, and the nation of Sumeru greatly values intelligence. But if intelligence were all that there is to wisdom, then it would be pretty out of touch don't you think?

Let's note down all the Dendro Vision Users in Teyvat (Excluding Archons and other similar entities)

Collei → Went deep into the forest to find a missing girl and protected her for a whole night.

Tighnari → Obtained his Vision by being the first brave soul to gently question and correct a mistake a lecturer made in an academic conference. This contributed to a more participative audience and a more productive conference.

Alhaitham → Obtained his Vision by reading a book which discussed how language is significant to people and how language shapes humanity.

Kaveh → Technically, he already qualified for most of the conditions for a Dendro Vision, but he only received one after coming to terms with his personal situation in regards to himself and his family.

Baizhu → After devoting himself to medicine and trying to save as many lives as he could, he received a Vision after swearing to end the contract which ultimately took his master's life and ensuring that the contract would end with him.

Yaoyao → Not actually discussed in her Vision story, but we all know that Yaoyao is always very kind and considerate to others and especially to her friends (Qiqi as a prime example).

Kirara → Received her Vision after living with a kind old lady for a time, grew to love humanity and it's ways, and eventually obtained the human form which she so desired.

Emilie → Received her Vision after comforting and showing solidarity to the relatives of a victim in a crime scene. In her SQ, she always displays great consideration and empathy to the kin of victims.

Kinich → Received a Vision from participating in one of the Night Warden Wars and became the last man standing. This happened specifically at a point where he accepted his fate of dying permanently due to his injuries, but still remained to determined to defeat as much Abyss monsters as he could in honor of the fallen.

Nefer → Her Moonwheel mysteriously appeared in a box which she received after helping an emissary of the Northern Intelligence Network. There's quite a bit of layers to this story, but it's basically Nefer's usual brand of being a fake idgafer.

Lauma → Received a Moonwheel as a baby??? Super unreliable narrative, but I suspect it has something to do with the roles and responsibilities that the Moonchanters attached to her at a very young age.

Or maybe baby Lauma just loved the world as purely and innocently as a child could idk.

Despite Dendro being considered the element of wisdom, and as such it is usually associated with intelligence, Dendro Visions are often granted to those with a great connection to humanity. A lot of the stories of Dendro users often show the characters connecting with people or obtaining a great understanding of people which led to them acquiring their Dendro Visions.

I don't have a catchy one-liner for this, but it seems that Dendro is characterized by characters that seek out connection and community whether they themselves realize it or not.

First of all, I have an ineffa headcanon that because kuuvakhi is somewhat similar to phlogiston, ineffa’s charge/battery lasts a lot longer than aino intended because ineffa’s core runs on phlogiston (I forgot what ineffa’s charging station actually charges her with, but I would assume it’s kuuvakhi). That being said, when ineffa was in natlan for over a month, she didn’t have to worry about her battery at all because of not only the amount of phlogiston in the environment, but also the various sources of phlogiston throughout natlan (eg the stand thingies that you can go to to replenish your phlogiston).

If Ineffa does go to a region that isn’t natlan or nod-krai, she’s going to have to adjust for her charging limits, and will probably have to bring some kind of portable battery or find alternate sources of energy, because her core is not going to be used to those environments.

Other than that (along with the responsibilities she has with the klink klank krumkake craftshop), I think ineffa would really enjoy going to other nations! She would (if this is something people can do) spend hours in the Akademiya reading as much as she can and adding to her database, she would spend so much mora buying desserts in Fontaine for Aino (and also her parts being from Fontaine would make for some interesting interactions), see Yun Jin’s performances in Liyue, etc etc. I’m not too sure what she would do in Mondstadt, but I think she would feel at home there because there are so many characters with ties to other nations with Complicated pasts, who are all accepted in Mondstadt. Come to think about it, I do think she would be friends with Kaeya, on account of the whole “from a nation that despises the gods that got destroyed by (an) archon(s) and now has to exist in a regular society” ordeal. Of course, Ineffa is collecting as many foods and snacks and souvenirs as she can along the way to give to Aino.

Inazuma is about as far as you can get from Nod-Krai, but Ineffa would also benefit from going there. Two words- Yumemizuki Mizuki. I don’t think I need to elaborate.

About cl-11,,, First of all what I think is really interesting is that she canonically looked into Ineffa’s memories while possessing her. What did she see and how much? Did she process them extremely quickly? Assuming she did genuinely investigate a significant amount of Ineffa’s memories, she probably saw so many things that she never got to see before. Nod-Krai, the vast ocean, Ineffa’s friends, the Krumkake Craftshop, etc etc. What did she feel? Was she indifferent? Hateful? Jealous? I’m so normal about that.

But anyway, assuming an au where cl-11 was “free” and able to travel across teyvat, I think it would be fascinating if she created a body for herself out of the uhh deshret construct machines (the triangle looking ones, I forgot what they’re called) because of how they react with electro, and somehow parallels ineffa’s body being made out of gardemek parts (which react with pneuma and ousia, neither of which are things ineffa can utilize). Also, cl-11 and Apep friendship. I was playing through the new archon quests recently and looking at Apep’s lines like “oh cl-11 would absolutely say this”. Other than that, I’m not sure if there are any specific regions/nations/areas in particular that cl-11 would enjoy a lot (Mondstadt would baffle her, for good or bad, because of something something strict dragon hierarchies and “the weak submit to the strong” and there it’s just. Not like that at all). She does definitely need several visits to Yumemizuki Mizuki though.

Dornman Port is called Dornmannshaven in German. The Mandarin text calls it 荆夫港, with each character translating to "thorn," "man," and "port/harbor," respectively. The German version literally translates each word--"Dorn," "Mann," and "Hafen," to make Dornmannshaven. The "v" is what's important here. The "standard" German spelling of the translation of the word 港/port is "Hafen." The equivalent Low German and Dutch word is spelled "(H/h)aven."
