i know i keep talking about this but it truly is so fucking funny to me that paul matthews was SO autistic that he got jon matteson to question his own neurodiversity. he truly saw the entire starkid audience point out tics and stims and quirks and etc that HE DOES and put into the character as being so unbelievably autistic and went hm. perhaps some self reflection is in order
at the end of the day, itβs you and your long distance best friend against the world

the five trauma reactions: fight, flight, freeze, fawn, and mating
id like if we could keep the alliteration going but i dont know if anyone has made an f word for mating
They haven't sorry
thats fucked up
we saw you from across the bar and hated your vibe
Hey guys you should totally get into this thing i like. Yeah it's mid at best. It also aged poorly. You'll get nothing out of it at all. You'll like the idea of it more than the actual thing. But at least only takes half your natural lifespan to finish it

HOLY MOTHERFUCKING SHIT
HADESTOWN NATION WE STAY WINNING
The anti-vax and anti-science propaganda is very real - and also, frankly I think doctors and nurses would've had an easier time getting people not to fall for it if they spent less time treating people like fucking shit
This post is about a lot of things but it is especially about racism, medical abuse, and eugenics
NGL, I've honestly came to understanding where the skeptics were coming from when my partner was hospitalized.
It was like they didn't care at times. They manhandled him, offered little empathy, and one time I saw a nurse yelling at him and saying she didn't care how much it hurt or made him cry. When he pleaded that I stay a night, something he never did and was difficult since the hospital was 2 hours away, I genuinely felt furious. I hated them, every single one - and a lot of the time I was the one doing the work in caring for him. Cleaning him; clearing his airways; feeding him; and getting him the attention he needed. And honestly, for awhile I 'got it'. I understood how people could come to mistrust or despise doctors and hospitals. Ultimately I had to stop myself from going deeper, especially when he passed, but I honestly don't feel the same about hospitals, doctors or nurses now as I used to. The appreciation is still there... but I won't lie and say that I don't second-guess them now.
wilbur being the harbinger of the great shattering is such a cold title. but i really think about the way that happened. imagine being the first interdimensional explorer, and reality breaks because of you. YOU are not supposed to be there and you ruin all laws of creation because of it.
we don't know how or why wilbur joined them, but either way that still likely was a horrifying thought
OOP is the creator of the Call of Cthulhu TTRPG, btw. He also worked on the early Doom and Quake games. I feel like this maybe explains some things.
#dear god#horrifying#did he eat it before or after creating call of cthulhu ttrpg#i think it would explain some thibgs#bug tw#dear god the way i inagined how the bug felt walking up his throatvi want to peel my skin off
I doubt the bug realised it was in danger, it was probably like "this warm wet crevice I fell into isn't ideal, let's get back to the surface and try somewhere more diggable"
Oh you meant how it felt to him

of all the things that made the hadestown proshot worth watching, i was most impacted by the performance of Flowers. OBCR Flowers is beautiful and emotional, yes, but the proshot version is fucking raw. eurydice screaming and crying. desperately pleading: "IS ANYBODY LISTENING?" tears streaming down her face: "I OPEN MY MOUTH AND NOTHING COMES OUT!" and you believe it, somehow, even though you're sitting there hearing her, because you can feel the dead air as nobody answers. they can hear, but they don't care. what does it matter that we all hear her? no one says anything. how can she know anyone is listening if no one acknowledges her at all? you feel that song like being punched in the stomach over and over, like you're clawing through dirt but you can't quite dig yourself out of a grave. and that's just the power of eva noblezada man.
