There was something in his eyes that bore a sort of malicious intent that did not match his (somewhat) polite attitude towards others.

He was quite an intimidating figure. Having never seen the light of the celestial realm, he had barely a shred of kindness in his heart, and yet he smiled; a large, evil smile.

But you've noticed something. When he holds your hand in his, his eyes soften. The malice contaminating his irises dims. He smiles a weak and helpless smile.

He wants to be better. For you, he wants to be kinder.

All you have to do is show him how. Show him love, and he will devote his life to you. In the short span of your human life and the eons left of his, he will worship you like the God he has never and will never see.

anyways here's how I think the brothers would celebrate your birthday

(Mammon's portion is a little more extensive)

Mammon is excited. Almost too excited.

Regardless of Lucifer's constant scolding to pipe down and not ruin the surprise, Mammon is struggling heavily to keep his mouth shut.

When the day arrives, you are called to Diavolo's castle and open the doors to the grand hall to reveal a fortress of whimsy. Banners and streamers are hung in a hazardous fashion all around the room, and a big 'Happy Birthday' sign is front and center among the decor.

Party poppers go off all at once except for Mammon's. The string didn't catch, so he's left with a barrel of unraveled confetti.

Gifts line the table in the corner of the room, and food is piled high on the tables adjacent. Most importantly, the three-tier cake stands tall among the other confections and finger foods.

No matter what order you decide to celebrate, cake first, party first or gifts, Asmo insists you open his present first.

Asmo gifts you a full basket of self-care products and promises to answer any questions you may have and to help you use them (especially the bathing products).

Levi hands you a small box next. It's a game that he's been meaning to play with you, but has been too shy to ask you until now. You agree to play with him as long as you get to be player 1 in controller order.

Satan is next. He brings a book to you wrapped in a pretty red ribbon. The book is a guide to pet ownership, and he tells you he's got a surprise for you in his closet when you get back home. He whispers that the ribbon would look so cute on your new kitten. "Maybe Lucifer will let us keep it if you're in on it, too..."

Beel and Belphie give their presents together. A pajama set and a coupon for a one-day, all-you-can-eat exclusive menu at Hell's Kitchen. Beel is just as excited as you are, and Belphie offers to let you nap with him after dinner. Your cow print onesie will just look too cute; he may have to gobble you up like Beel has gone to eat half the contents of the food table shortly after his gift is delivered.

Lucifer goes next. While he does this in part to teach Mammon patience, he's also looking forward to seeing the sapphire brooch pinned to your outfit. The color is so stunning on you, and you'll have a little piece of him with you from this night on.

Mammon is last, clutching his rather large gift in sweaty palms before he eagerly thrusts the package into your hands. "Saving the best for last, huh Mc?" Unwrapping the gold paper, you find an Akuzon package, awkwardly taped but easy enough to tear open without struggle. Inside this box is an outfit. It's a beautiful attire, perfect for an official outing.

"...Do you like it?" His nervousness is beyond adorable. "If you like it, then let's go on a date. I'll get you anything you want, the great Mammon's treat!" Just as promised, he spoils you rotten, arms crammed full of shopping bags, the next day.

I thought of this while baked, a baked goodie if you will

They want a taste, then they want a taste.

I'm working on a little project, basically a textbook about the devildom and Mc's impact on devildom history.

This will be mandatory study material at RAD hundreds of years in the future.

In this future humans, demons, and angels are now successfully taking part in the devildom exchange program and this is a textbook about Mc and how they played a major part in the world's modern peace.

Would anyone be interested in reading this? I have a lot of ideas for it, but I have to comb through the OG game for all the details.

Furthermore, would anyone be interested in collaborating on this project with me?

I haven't finished the OG game due to a lack of card power and neglecting my account, so if anyone can fill me in on the later game doings past level 40. (I had an old account that was farther, but I lost it when I switched phones.)

Anyways, lemme know.

    "I want tea."

He would make tea. 

    "Some water?"

He would fetch you a fresh glass of water with ice and a lemon.

    "I'm craving cake."

He would see to it that the finest triple-tier cake was made for you.

Barbatos was so very sweet to you. For the very little free time he had, he still made time to spoil you.

It was flattering, though a bit confusing. Why in the Devildom would this powerful time demon and the King's personal aid be so attentive to a human?

You'd chalked it up to you being an exchange student. Of course he's treating you nicely; you're a key part in Diavolo's ideal future.

But then you saw the way Barabtos treated Solomon. He was not so attentive then. Not even a smile was spared for Solomon. Weird.

The question turned in your head again and again, and in free moments, you caught yourself thinking about it. And in those free moments, in busy moments too, Barbatos continued his kindness.

You felt a fire inside your soul, a little flame settling in your gut.

He was certainly a handsome demon. He treated you kindly and listened to you ramble about nonsense. His demon form wasn't scary, in fact, that tail...

You struggled to wash away your impure thoughts. He's a demon, and you're a human. It would never work. But your feelings persisted regardless of your rational opposition.

You weren't sure how close you were getting to your limit, but you knew the day was approaching quickly. Instead of letting yourself boil over, you decide to get to the source of the problem.

Excusing yourself to the restroom, you sneak away from tea time with Diavolo and Lucifer in search of Barbatos. You roam the halls for a short while, desperately trying to remember where everything is in the castle.

You come across the library, the kitchen and the main hall, but no sign of Barbatos. Only stumbling down a random hallway do you hear a voice.

Peaking through a doorway, you see Barbatos throwing orders out to three little black blobs. Little D's, if you remember correctly. He stops to glance at the door for a moment before making the Little D's recite their commands back to him. He then excuses them, and they file out the door you had since jumped behind.

"Mc?"

"Yes?"

"Come in."

You relinquish your spot behind the door and enter the room. From the looks of it, it's an office. Barbatos gives you a once-over before sitting at the desk in the center of the room.

"What are you doing roaming around? If I remember correctly, you're supposed to be having tea right now."

Coming face-to-face with the source of your unknown problem saps all your confidence. The words die in your throat. Your eyes meet his, and your face flushes.

He quirks his brow with a faint smile.

"I understand."

Heat pools in your gut at his next words.

Some more light angst, team but happy ending included!

"Mcccc, where'd you gooooo??" Mammon's slurred words echo around the hall.

He's been searching for you since he noticed your absence from the party.

You stand at the window gazing upon the Devildom.

"I'm right here, Mammon."

"What're ya doinn'? I missed youu..."

"I'm just taking a breather."

He senses your gloomy mood and straightens himself in an attempt to sober up.

"What's the matter?"

"Nothing important."

Mammon has learned well enough at this point in your relationship that you'll talk about it when you're ready. For now, he nods and lightly pats your shoulder, gauging if you're okay with a hug.

As you turn to embrace him, he wraps his arms around your back and rubs slow, comforting circles with his palm.

After a long silent moment, you pull away from him.

"You ready to head back?" He asks tentatively.

You give him a small smile and nod. "Yes."

You walk hand in hand back to the main hall.

Mammon, drunk, sober, or somewhere in between, will always look out for you. He lightly pats his pocket with a little box tucked away inside.

Until you.

Lucifer sized you up quickly and dealt with you as he saw fit: putting you in your place. The issue arose when you didn't stay in that place. He tried again to manage you, but you didn't quite fit into the box he'd made for you.

Over time, as you grew closer to his brothers and unburied all of his secrets, he found himself growing fond of you.

His need for control and his pride refused to let him admit it, but soon enough, he began to make a new little spot for you in his heart.

Mc: Oh! Look how cute!

Simeon goes to look and sees Mc holding up a white lacey lingerie set.

Simeon: ...uh, yes.

He quickly averts his gaze and hides his growing blush behind his hand.

Mc stumbles into Purgatory Hall, tipsy drunk after a party with Asmo.

Upon finding Simeon, they plant a kiss on his cheek and sling an arm around his shoulder.

"You're so handsome. You know that right? You should really know you're handsome. I'd suck your dick right now if we weren't in the common room like I'm talking sloppy style-"

Simeon smacks a hand over their mouth before they can further embarrass themselves.

Too late Solomon already heard and sends a wink in Simeon's direction.

Everyone is playing truth or dare at one of Diavolo's impromptu parties (Luke is in bed and in no way involved in this game). Mc, who has already downed a shot of hot sauce and performed an interpretative dance chooses truth.

"Have you ever kissed anyone," Mammon asks with a blush.

"Oh, I've done more than kiss, babe. Matter-a-fact," Mc points to Simeon, "I offered to suck him off when-"

Simeon coughs loudly.

"That's enough of that, don't you think?" He gives Mc a pleading look.

There's desperation and embarrassment present in his eyes that's just too yummy.

Someday, I'm going to eat that man alive...

It's a quiet thought Mc decides to keep to themselves for now.

"Yes?"

"Are you allowed to fall in love?"

Simeon looks at you quietly. Your stroll through the RAD garden has taken an unexpected turn.

"Define 'fall in love.'"

"Well... I guess I mean in the sense of romance. Are you allowed to fall in love with someone? Are you allowed to get married or have kids?"

Simeon is quiet for another moment, looking at you thoughtfully.

"What brought on your question?"

You sigh. You didn't expect a straight answer, but it's disappointing nonetheless.

"Just curious."

"Is that so?" He chuckles. He says nothing else.

You purse your lips together in frustration.

"Don't frown so hard. You'll get wrinkles."

Wrinkles. Right. Even if you loved him, even if you wanted him to love you, the differences between you were too great.

A human and an angel. You can't even compare to him. Your life is short and worthless. Why would you ever think you'd have a chance?

You say none of this aloud. You keep it, holding it in your heart and rolling it over with a hopeless sense.

If you were to express any of your feelings, Simeon would surely comfort you, but nothing would change.

You know this, and so does he.

Mc: Mammon, it was open note...

Mammon: ...what notes?

Dumb stupid ridiculous post bc i havent posted for awhile

"Hm?" You respond, nose still in your book.

"The people in the photo. Who are they?"

You look up and follow his pointed finger to the framed photo on your bookshelf.

"Oh, that's my family."

Mammon stays quiet for a minute. His eyebrows scrunch as he gazes at the photo.

"...do you miss them?"

"Very much." You let out a light chuckle.

Mammon rolls over on the bed to face you, placing his hand on your book to lower it.

"I'm sorry." Mammon looks at you mournfully.

"For what?"

"For taking you away from them."
