Butterflies in Winter is in the same continuity as the Undoneverse, and is a rewrite of Epic Winter. Basically, Crystal gets the mirror shards in her eyes instead of the King and becomes cruel, overthrowing her parents and turning everyone in the winter palace into statuary and furniture. Also she and her family are reindeer-people now, just as a preference.

This arc doesn’t take place in the middle of summer, but in the middle of winter. The students complain that it’s far too cold, so Farrah enchants the snow away for a day of warm summer fun. This enrages Crystal, who storms down to Ever After questioning who destroyed her beautiful winter.

DuMonte was the one to leave Royelle in the woods (and her bio dad was either poisoned by DuMonte or was actually sick); She’s found by her dads, and by coincidence, they end up in DuMonte’s debt. She realizes Royelle is the same baby she attempted to kill, so she keeps her on a tight leash so her secret isn’t revealed. As for Royelle’s bio mom… unsure.
