♡ @ennoe liked for a starter --- feat. Lumine;
Too long had it been since the two had been separated.
Even with the ever determined Dainsleif on her trail, she found herself yearning to be close. Their “first” meeting not enough to ease the loneliness in her heart. Of course.. She’d be a fool to show herself however, knowing all too well that the other would push and plead the two go home, run away from everything again.
And she was tired of running.
Perched in tree tops or hidden away in mountain faces, she was there. Watching. Observing her brother’s trials and desperate attempts to get information on just why she had become affiliated with the Abyssal Order;
This time however, Lumine found that ache in her chest to be too strong.
“Stand your ground.. This won’t take long” Lumine muttered, holding a hand out to halt the fire of one Hilichurl’s crossbow. The Mages at her side tilted their head in confusion, watching their Princess run towards the so called “Traveler”, the person who’d been demolishing their Abyssal army with ease. Gliding effortlessly down the mountain face with golden wings, much to her entourage’s disapproval, the Princess descended down to where her Brother resting-- quietly standing beside him as he sat, oblivious to her presence.
Though the desire to take him with her was there; Lumine knew not to meddle too much in his journey. Just a little time together, that’s all she wanted.

“That isn’t…” Muffling another bout of laughter with the palm of his hand, Childe merely shook his head at her. If he’d known how easily she would misconstrue his words, he might have rephrased. Maybe. He couldn’t say he didn’t enjoy watching her process…whatever she was trying to process. Even when she swings her little fist at him and he’s forced to lean just out of her reach–
“All fired up and raring to go, I see! You’ve certainly got the spirit.” A compliment equal parts genuine as it was humored; it was difficult for Childe to turn a blind eye to the qualities he adored in his younger siblings present themselves in her. "Unfortunately you can’t win a fight with fire alone. Nevermind your empty stomach.“ Was it out of line for him to want to look after her? For a Harbinger, maybe. But not for who the man he was before them. "Come, comrade. Let’s fix you something to eat.
Any instance of fight in her was extinguished the moment Childe mentioned making her some food. She'd heard Lumine's compliments to his cooking before; so one shouldn't refuse such an offer right? Even if it meant showing some kindness to one of her greatest enemies! "Huuwooaah!? Really? You'll make Paimon something to eat!?" Her excitement holds no bounds, the little fairy thing spinning in circles around the man's head. "Haha! Childe sure is nice for a big bad Fatui huh?" Huh.. Why was that? Sure he was pretty bonkers, Paimon had seen that for herself when Lumine kicked his Harbinger butt at the Golden House.. But even after the fight, he was always pretty nice to the two of them. A little annoying at times-- but never really.. Hostile? Paimon scratched at her cheek as she thought, hovering patiently over Childe's shoulder as she waited for the oh so elusive "meal"
"....Mhmm.. You're.. You’re not being nice.. Just to hurt us in the end, are you Childe?" Her question is rather out of the blue, voice much quieter than usual; matching the anxious expression on her face. "Cause, Lumine trusts you. And Paimon knows how much pain Lumine is already going through so--" She snivels, thinking about Lumine hurting always seemed to get her over emotional. "--So! This better not be some big act! Or.. Or else Paimon will never ever forgive you!"

@mylochii asked : ❝ Nobody said this was going to be happy story. ❞
Wattson tilts her head to the side to glance at her companion, raising her eyebrows just slightly as she takes in Wraiths words. She cannot argue with that logic; life was never simple or easy. It was full of twists and hardships, but Natalie always tried to embrace the nature of life and tried to cherish the things and people around her.
“Well,” She starts, preparing her counter argument. “Nobody said this was going to be a tragedy either.”
“Every great story has adversity, or there would be no triumphant and victorious end! Things can seem dark and possibly hopeless, but there’s always a chance to come back from that. And even if you miss that chance, there are second chances.” Wattson gently nudges her shoulder against Wraiths. “And then when we do get that happy story, I’ll be able to say ‘I told you so, Wraith!’ Hehe!”
Maybe it was just her mood that day.. Bitter, hopeless thoughts and memories resurfacing to her mind as she sat idly beside her companion. The words kind of just, slipped out-- muttered softly to herself; or maybe Natalie, without much realization. So, for the brighter woman to retaliate, with her own words; full of hope and "second chances" --Wraith couldn't help but feel, a little stunned. "Heh.. Of course, you'd never miss a chance to rub it in my face huh" The elder chuckled, Natalie’s words melting away at the negativity that swirled in her chest. That was probably what Renee cherished the most about Nat, how easily she could turn a bleak situation into something so.. Bright.
As their shoulders brush against one another, Renee leans her head into Natalie’s own-- allowing herself to indulge in some of the other’s affection for once. "But, yeah.. you're right. I’m um.. Sorry.. About that by the way, I guess, I just wasn’t feeling the best in that moment"

“ I’ll explain just - ! Don’t shoot ! “ Can there be one day in his life where he doesn’t have to plead for mercy? Is that too much to ask?
Trying to run… It’s tempting, surely. If he were brave he might actually attempt it. But he knows who she is. Knows what she can do. He isn’t keen on getting a first hand experience with a siren’s power.
“ My name is Timothy . I am - I was one of his doppelgangers . “ He explains. “ When I started working for him he was just some low level programmer and - I was in debt . “ The words are uttered quickly, and his eyes are kept down the entire time. He’s afraid, if he looks her in the eye, that he’ll lose his nerve. “ I - I really didn’t know he was such a crazy bastard when I signed up - believe me - all I ever thought about was going back and never getting that stupid surgery to begin with . He made my life hell . “
He anxiously glances around, still not looking at her directly. “ I just - I know you’re one of the ones that killed him . I’m sure you have plenty of reason to hate him . He didn’t make it hard . But I swear ; I’m nothing like him . “
The suspicion in her eyes fades as he talks; granted she didn't know much about Jack and who he was before the "Handsome" part.. Everything seemed to sound pretty legit from the man cowering before her. And, of course, she of all people knew better than to judge ones book by it's cover --A certain Psycho coming to mind in that moment.
She just had to take the chance, and trust him.
"...Alright." Lowering her pistol, Maya relaxed and outstretched the hand that was once sparking with Siren energy; offering it to him rather awkwardly- for a handshake. "You've already shown some difference in behaviour.. So I'll buy what your selling me for now.. But-" Another surge of electricity pulsed from her palm; a warning to him. "-if this is all some big lie Timothy. I'll offer you the "One of the ones who killed Jack" experience; free of charge."
unprompted ✦ @cereniitea ✦ “Paimon thinks Childe’s face doesn’t have enough fist in it today. Maybe Paimon can help with that!” – From guess who, lovingly
Her ‘challenge’ was met with a hearty laugh, giving Childe a moment’s pause. “While I’d love to take you up on that offer,” his eyes gleamed with amusement. “I’m afraid I have much bigger fish to fry.” And, frankly, very little interest in sparring with someone he considered lesser than him in skill–
There's a lengthy pause as Paimon's brain desperately tried to pieced together why Childe would want to cook fish over having a grand battle with non other than the great Paimon herself? Her face scrunches with annoyance. Now she's mad ...and hungry. "Hey! Wait a minuet!! What does frying fish gotta do with fighting?" Paimon squawks, holding up her tiny fists; ready to throw down. "Oooooh! Paimon gets it; You're trying to weasel your way out of a fight with Paimon huh? Well! Your stupid fish talk won't trick Paimon! Hyah!" She swings-- and well, misses. The growl of her stomach catching her off guard entirely. How embarrassing.. "...Hnnghmm.. Paimon's stomach betrays her yet again.."

One thing Natasha shouldn’t underestimate is the heat in the US. New Mexico heat has been withstand, albeit in some ways to beat it, but Arizona heat is a lot different. She had to take her jacket off and change her pants to shorts during the watch out.
Plus she’ll be sporting quite a sunburn when she gets home.
“I swear if this idiot does not appear in another ten to fifteen minutes, I will go down there and drag him out by his feet.” Her brain may be boiling too but it was her blood that was boiling the most. God knows how long she has been in this position, her scope eye waiting to catch sight of their target.
“Once this is over, I’m using the bathtub first and fill it with ice.”
For someone who is typically pretty composed and "professional" - the nauseating heat was making Pauling pretty delirious, the woman struggling to stifle the fit of giggles that was trying to escape her. "S-Sorry, I don't know why. But seeing you angry is just; so funny to me right now?" Pauling croaked, offering the other woman a kinda groggy looking grin. "Heh- Okay, I promise, when this is over I'll buy us several bags of ice and we can just... Sit in it"
To Dahlia, it feels like hours; waiting in the insufferable heat. She'd already given up watching the horizon for their target, slumped back in her chair like a pile of wet, sweaty towels.
With a groan, she lifts her head from the backing of her chair, feeling the skin of her neck peel from the plastic seating she had apparently "melded" too.
"Alright. If they.. they don't show up in the next... thirty seconds.. We're leaving and going to... a water park or something.." Darl huffed, glancing over at the sniper before staring back towards the horizon. "We can still track them.. from a cooler environment, it'll just.. Take longer than what the Administrator wants"

As soon as the thermite died down, Revenant watched the door, gun at the ready, while the engineer finished her nodes. But the enemy team looked to have moved away - the noise of GUNFIRE followed. And it wasn’t directed at them.
“Yeah,” he seemed to agree. “Catch them while they’re still BLEEDING.” Still he watched the door, listening to the fight outside until glancing for the offered accelerant with a bit of pause. It wasn’t exactly NORMAL for the other Legends to share anything with him if they could help it. “… You keep it,” the sim barked. “Totem will be ready soon.” He paced away to the window, watching the exchange of BULLETS flying outside. His own trigger finger began to itch.
Not long after, and he could see that most of one squad had been knocked. Revenant moved to a corner of the room by the door, and with a forceful gesture of his hand, seemed to draw a TOTEM out of the floor, its sparks and embers lashing all around it with a low, OTHERWORLDLY RUMBLE. Contrary to its fiery appearance, the Death Totem was eerily COOL to the touch, chilling the air around it as well.
A swipe of his hand through the Totem’s smoke, and the stuff enveloped his metal frame - replacing the whole of him in seconds with SHADOW: the ominous appearance of burning coals and pitch black smoke.
At first, when Revenant was newly introduced to the Apex Predator games, Natalie always seemed to find his muttering of murderous intent rather unnerving.. But now? Revenant's remarks merely got a roll of her eyes. "Understood" Natalie replied curtly, ignoring his sharp tone and pocketing the accelerant for herself. She watched him pace around, staring out towards the fray like a caged animal; those claw-like fingers gripping tighter around the gun in his hands.
He was being noticeably tolerant with her today. What a nice change of pace. In the few moments that had passed as the two waited for the gunfire to die down, Wattson had let her mind wander- the ever echoing sound of static filling her head as she dazed off; blue orbs staring blankly at the wall before her The sudden shift of his figure in the corner of her vision snapped her mind back to reality, the young woman blinking; confused and curious as to where he was scurrying off too without any warning. She followed, trailing slowly behind him whilst keeping an ear out for any footsteps or stray shots from the victorious squad around them.
And as the totem seemed to rise from the metal beneath their feet; Natalie was entranced again. Revenant's totems fascinated her; such a strange, unexplainable science.. Any time the simulacrum manifested the strange device; Natalie was drawn to it, like moth to flame. "Amazing..." Nat whispered under her breath, reaching a hand out towards the metallic bi-pyramid only to feel a rush of fire and smoke fill her lungs; electric like energy pulse through her veins. Exhilarating. With a raise of her head, Natalie locked eyes with the shadowy form of Revenant. Her body now matching his as his totem's "power" flooded through her.

@trackr asks; Spots to kiss + 24. i honger 4 fu/sehound,,,, → spot to kiss
── For Walter Fitzroy, one would typically sleep soundly and at ease; unable to be stirred by most noise or movement as he rested.
But in these moments, where he found himself sharing the comfort of his bed with a person he thought ever so fondly of-- the old man found himself restless. Not wanting to sleep away in fear that when he woke up, they were gone.
So, when the feathered feeling of their lips brushed over the skin of his shoulder. Walter felt an overwhelming sense longing burn brighter in his chest. He wished these moments would never end.
“Hmm.. Ya can’t sleep either Houndie?” The grenadier asked, shifting himself over so that he could face the glorious hunter resting beside him. Outstretching his hand and delicately cupping the scarred cheek he was very rarely graced to see. How beautiful they looked, nestled snuggly in his bed; allowing his home to be a place of comfort for them as well as their own. It was more than he ever wanted.
He stroked his thumb across their cheek tenderly, acting quick to close the gap between them and peppering the Hunter’s face with ticklish kisses before speaking up again. “Tell me what’s on ya mind pup. I’ll listen to whatever is keeping ya up”
@redbritishsniper asks; 30. a kiss on the back of the hand. (For Miss P and you know Natasha be winking at her too while she does it) → spot to kiss
── It takes her a moment to fully register what was going on, Dahlia’s eyes glued to her clip board as usual; not noticing right away the sniper’s gentle grip on her own hand- carefully guiding it up to the snipers face and pressing a kiss against her knuckles.
The soft, warmth of her lips against her dry skin caught Pauling’s attention. Her eyes quickly darting upwards to meet Natasha’s own-- face flushing a hot red when the other shot her a wink the moment they met eyes.
“W-Woah okay, you can’t. You can’t just do that??? There are company laws or something? Jesus.. I’m not going to be able to focus at all today thanks to that. Are you proud of yourself?”
starter for @octaane ── feat; Fuse ♡
── How long does it take for an old man to get bored? Not long at all apparently.
After spending a majority of his morning fiddling with his guitars, checking their tune and giving them some good ol’ love and care- Walter found himself pretty tired of it pretty quick. So, with a stretch, he lumbered himself out of his little den and gave a few wary glances down the halls of the large building the majority of the legends stayed at before a fresh season. He wasn’t typically one to go seek company, company usually found him! So he was a little anxious to say the least, wandering down the halls, peering into any open door like the nosy bloke he was. A few familiar faces smiled back at him as he poked around, that stella doc, Miss Frizzle along with the lil spark Wattson. Good ol’ Path bothering his usual crew, Nitwit and Wraith-- all of them too busy to let Walter squeeze in and occupy himself with some pleasant crew. That’s when he noticed the darling Aj stomping down the halls, looking pretty ticked off at god knows what. Curious as any old bastard would be, he asked what was wrong; the darl wobbling on about her friend getting into some idiotic stunt again and she wasn’t having none of it. Not “baby sitting him no more” wish wash. Fuse chuckled. “That lil bottle rocket up to no good again aye? Go relax Che, old Fusey will keep an eye on him for ya, ah ah? Cause I’ve only got one? Haa..” His joke earned him a punch to the flesh arm, but she seemed a little less tense with his offer. Finally! Some entertainment and good company to match. Octane was all energy and all go; a chaotic bastard who knew how to make a bloody good time out of anything-- someone Fuse respected. No way in hell was he going to give up the chance of making a little bit of mayhem with the daredevil himself. With a grin and an excited hop to his step, Walter made sure to make quick work to the training grounds, where Che had mentioned the speedster was setting up.
starter for @redbritishsniper ── feat; Miss Pauling ♡
── The Arizona sun is blazing, beating down on the overly freckled skin of the assistant; her posture slumping slightly as Pauling basically melted into the makeshift rock ‘chair’ she was perched on. "Any sign of the target yet?" The smaller woman asked, peeling her face from her bunched knees to catch the gaze of her marksman friend. Contracts. Pauling's main line of work (and source of income) if she wanted to get things done, make them into a contract with a pretty prize at the end of it, and most of those mercs of her's took the bait. --And Natasha was one of Miss P's most reliable. "Typically I can withstand a bit of heat what with grave digging and all.. But we didn't even get any hats or anything. Ugh, I think my brain is boiling? How long have we been up here." Pauling looked at her watch. 4 hours. Enough time to get heat stroke-- but not enough time for a run away moving van loaded with stolen goods to pass their particular hiding spot. The Administrator wanted those goods, god knows what for, but Darl knew if the Administrator wanted them.. Darl would get them for her. Heat stroke or not. “Guh.. How are you holding up ‘Tasha?.. I think I’m about to pass out”
surprise starter for @trackr ── feat; Fuse ♡
── There was never a time in Walter’s life where he hadn’t looked before he lept, and well, he generally suffered the consequences because of it. So, when that old mass of grey matter in his noggin thought it would be a fantastic idea to go out guns blazing and attempt a 1v3 on some unsuspecting squad-- even with his mate Bloodhound’s warning that another team wasn’t far behind. Fuse, suffered the consequences. Managing to hide himself under one of the buildings, Walter spat out some blood and shards of teeth with a hefty chuckle. “Cripes, these kids sure know how to swing a fist when they can huh?” He muttered to himself, quite content with bleeding out there and then (and not risk the scolding he’d probably get from his teammates) But; an all familiar sound made the old dog perk up, even just a bit. Heavy breathing, followed by very cautious steps. Bloodhound. “Houndie! Mate, you crawled ya self all the way over here to save me? You’re a right beaut you are” The elder laughed, a rather sheepish grin growing from under that bristled stash. “How many times have ya done this now? Picked me up? Gotta be at least the twenty third now ri- Yowch! Careful with the bloody revive Bloodhound!” The other practically stabbed him in the chest; granted they had every right to do so- He didn’t exactly listen to their cautioned words so, again, he was suffering the consequences. Once up and on his feet, Fuse gazed around at the carnage his squad seemed to had reaped while he was sitting like a fool under a shed. Mirage, their other teammate gave the two a quick wave before going back to looting death boxes; his holograms running about along side him. “Bloody hell. You two can clean up huh? Remind me to buy us all a round once we win this thing! Eheh, right.. Hound?” He smacked his hand hard on the others back as he spoke, glancing nervously from his one good eye into the hollow gaze of those goggles they wore. “Ya not mad at me? Right mate?”

Seeing a siren is already a once in a lifetime experience for many. But the real reason behind Timothy’s staring is that there’s something so familiar about her. Something that feels so important he manages to forget himself enough to openly stare.
The moment he finally realises who she is is the same one they lock eyes. The scare is enough to make his heart skip a beat. He promptly raises his hands, eyes wide in fear.
“ I’m sorry ! I’m sorry ! Please don’t shoot me ! “ He cries. He carries a gun of his own but he doesn’t dare try to reach for it. This is one of the vault hunters that defeated Jack, after all. “ I’m not Jack - I never even liked that asshole - please don’t kill me ! “
── She cocks her head. Confused. Jack wasn't one to act like a pussy (unless his mouth was pressed to the barrel of her gun), so this was certainly out of character for a fanatic. Even with his cowardice and neglect to reach for his gun- Maya still wasn't quite buying it. "...I dunno, something about your face just really.. Really isn't selling this whole "never even liked that asshole" ploy you're telling me hotshot." The Siren remarks, free hand at her side raising up and sparking with an electrifying blue energy. "Why don't you explain the makeover while I ponder over wasting my ammo on you.. Oh, and don't try to run or anything, unless you want to know what phazelock feels like. Alright?"
revenant
The engineer had her uses. But her FOCUS was frequently on her work - not so much surviving as THINKING and building. Revenant left her to it. Always something especially satisfying watching meatbags get COOKED ALIVE by just the right amount of electricity - even if it was rare for Wattson to ever apply that much.
Satisfying, too, for that same electricity to BURN through his circuits and senses. Whether to kill him or revive him. Made no difference to the simulacrum.
He heard the thermite before he saw it. Turned, and with just a couple LONG, BRISK STRIDES, grabbed past Wattson’s pylon for the back of her coat. The fire erupted quick enough that Revenant wasn’t sure whether it reached her or not by the time he yanked her back, planting her back on her feet with himself between her and the wall of fire in case anyone started shooting through it.
He caught movement through the panes of the second door, and in the blink of an eye pitched a SILENCE there, where it expanded at the door with a low, menacing hum. Like Wattson, Revenant favored fighting INDOORS. Tight spaces. Opportunity for him to scale a ceiling over enemy’s heads, or choke up a hallway with a Silence. “Save it and get another fence started when the thermite dies out.” He would cover her this time to make sure the job got DONE. “If these skinbags decide to come in after us, I’ll make them REGRET IT,” the sim seemed to promise.
── Her nose would scrunch up in displeasure to his tone. Granted tone would be hard to change when all you had to speak was a voice modulator, set to one scary voice and that was it.. But, it wouldn't be hard to have some manners at least! Natalie huffed, pushing his hand away from her jacket and getting back to her original task at hand. Fencing. One would typically be a little more on edge after having a literal bomb thrown at them, but with Revenant's lingering presence beside her and the crackling dark energy of his silence echoing through the tight halls- Wattson felt strangely at ease.. Or at least protected. She made sure to place her nodes in difficult to reach places, hoping the struggle to destroy them would be enough to have her enemies irritated and opt the risk of running through her electrical barriers instead of destroying it. Any more grenades would be a threat, yes, but her Pylon would make quick work of those-- And thankfully the simulacrum had made sure to point out as many ultimate excellerants as possible to her as they traversed the arena. "Alright. Fences are set" Wattson called out, the sound of gunfire from the outside warning them that perhaps another team had found their initial attackers. "Maybe once the gunfire has died down out there, we should go out and try and push? We have this as a safe house for the time being.." Natalie rummaged through her bag, finishing off the last repairs of her damaged shield with a cell before grabbing an excellerant. "Your totem would help a lot for that push.. Is it ready? Or do you need one of these?" The girl asked, offering her excellerant in hand.
