Yellow 108 pretty much seems to make the best sub-$100 wide-brim hat on the market. The only downside to their hats is they come with a quarter-inch wide leather band that is not the highest quality. 

Without a more substantial band, the crown of a wide brim hat can appear comically tall. To resolve this predicament, I used my very limited skills to create a band out of the back blade of an old chambray tie. I literally just measured and cut the back blade since it stays the same width throughout its length. You could then sew the band together at each end, but I just opted for the easier option of using a vintage pin to hold the band together.
