It was with an annoyed sigh that Lucy chucked her phone onto her bed, standing up and heading to the cabin door. She’d had a moment to check on how it was with charging, and of course, it hadn’t even made it to 50%. There was something wrong with the battery, she was sure of it, but didn’t have to money to try and repair it. She put her shoes back on, heading to the cabin door and throwing it open, nearly stumbling over a black box in her rush. It was right in the middle of the doorway, clearly having been placed there the five minutes since she’d entered the cabin. It was with a frown that she picked it up, walking back in the cabin and to her room. There weren’t any markings on the box, any distinguishing features that would tell her what was inside. All she could find was a small slip of paper attached to the side with her name on it. Once she was in her room again, she opened it, finding a phone inside. She gasped, glad that she’d gone into her room with it instead of staying on the doorstep of her cabin.
She quickly pulled it from it’s packaging, noticing that a battery and sim card were already put inside. Switching it on, she waited impatiently, biting her lip. There had to be something that would tell her who had given her this. They couldn’t just remain anonymous. Sure enough, as soon as she went into the contacts, there was one number.
CALL THIS.
And so she did. “Hello? Who is this?”
