amelia’s heart was still beating fast. she wasn’t good with scares like that. she honestly wasn’t good with anything that frightened her even one bit. a small car alarm would easily make her into a nervous wreck. for the while she had been living there, she was actually surprised she hadn’t met her neighbor yet, but then again she was always quickly in and out of her apartment leaving no time for them to officially meet. a smile formed, mimicking ryder’s. ‘ i’m amelia and this is theo. ’, she said before giving theo’s hand a little shake. her cheeks began to turn red, maybe it was the chilled air or maybe it was ryder’s warm smile. ‘ i guess it’s nice to meet you? ’, amy said, followed by an awkward laugh. ‘ i mean, of course it’s lovely to meet you... just, y’know... not under these circumstances. ’, she softly began to ramble, something she usually did when she was nervous.

it had been an hour since she put theo to bed. she decided to take the rest of her time to clean around the living room and kitchen. just as she was putting away the last couple of dishes from the dish washer, the fire alarm blared through the quiet apartment. her heart immediately jumped and quickly ran to theo’s room to get him. ‘ hey munchkin. ’, she softly said, with obvious panic in her voice. ‘ we’ve got to go outside for a bit, let’s get going. ’, amy said while carrying the toddler in her arms. she slipped on her flip flops while grabbing theo’s shoes before making her way down to the front of the complex. theo rubbed his eyes, irritated from the bright lights of the hallways while they got out. amy’s eyes were full of concern and worry, she didn’t even realize she was holding her breath until a voice caught her attention. theo immediately reached out to take the jacket her neighbor offered. ‘ oh theo! ’, she exclaimed. ‘ i’m so sorry, theo what do you say? ’, she asked her son hoping he would thank him. “thanks!”, theo said while pulling the jacket in closer. amy managed to get his shoes on and put him down on the floor, so he can wrap the jacket around him better. she held onto his hand before turning to face her neighbor. ‘ thank you, you really didn’t have to. ’, she softly said.

these nights were her favorites. it was relaxing, yet ecstatic. she was sitting around a few couches with some other bands including her own. her pink lips occasionally let out a laugh at what her bandmates said. her blue eyes wandered a bit, making eye contact with the one person she knew she would end up having to deal with. a silent scoff left her mouth, knowing he was making his way over to her. ‘ hi clyde. ’, brooklyn said through her teeth, with a forced smile. her eyes rolled when she felt his arm fall over her shoulders. ‘ if we were talking the truth, i would say blake here is my favorite singer. ’, she added pulling on blake’s sleeve to slide clyde’s arm. ‘ don’t worry, i’m sure there are plenty of people out there who can suck your ego’s dick. ’

with summer coming to a start, that meant it was fair season. it was hands down saba’s favorite time of the year. she was able to put away her winter coat and pull out her colorful sundresses and her heart shades. she had a corn dog in one hand while she focused on the milk bottles that were stacked in a pyramid in front of her. she squinted one eye and threw the baseball forward, missing completely. “f my life!”, saba exclaimed, turning around while she mentally cursed herself. once she noticed a familiar face she quickly walked over and locked arms with them, handing them her last chance to winning the purple bear, the last baseball. “if you make this i promise you i’ll buy you a drink! please please”, saba practically begged.
