Oh don’t worry. It can get to me too. That’s when the bottles of wine and the punching bag get broken out and the phone gets taken away from me before I say some super not nice things to people. Next time someone says something just text me and I’ll be over with movies and donuts to distract us. Ugh okay the mellow life is great, don’t get me wrong. Like Brie totally lives the mellow, hippie, super nice life but you have to let your hair down every once in a while! Get drunk and go crazy! You can go back to the mellow life in the morning. Are you and the kids going on the trip? Cause if so… I’m totally stealing you for a night. We’ll leave your kids with John, he probably wouldn’t lose them. It’ll be fine. I’m always on my phone. My mom yells at me all the time but I swear it’s mostly business. Yeah, definitely. And you can hide them and force the girls to go outside. Yeah he’s like super smart so I bet he could!

Me too - minus the punching bag. Really it’s just the wine! I tend to take the kill them with kindness approach more often but every so often I have to put the phone away to stop myself from getting nasty too!! That sounds like a deal and I’ll reciprocate! I’ve definitely done the letting my hair down thing a lot in my life, so maybe I’ve just reached my quota? Like I said, not that I still don’t appreciate fun and getting a little wild - I think my idea of wild has just kind of changed over the years. Besides, no one really wants to see a slobbering drunk forty-three year old! We are! I’m sure John and Gerard could handle the three of them for one night, right? Sometimes I attempt to put my phone down but it’s strange how disconnected from everything you feel without it, isn’t it? Thankfully, I don’t have to force them to go outside very often yet...it’s coming though, I can already feel it! Excellent, maybe we’ll make him do that on the trip as well!

Make sure your own actions reflect the kind of behavior you want your kid to exhibit, not just your words. Be the kind of person you’d want them to be rather than trying to make them the person you wish you’d become. And you’re right, there’s a lot of stuff we can’t control. I mean, I’m not that bad but sometimes I can really ruin everything, you know? I’ve never seen Danneel fucking shit up. Yes, I’ll definitely be there! I’m not sure if people will believe you but this is great, thank you. Fuck, don’t go there, just – don’t go there. We are? I suddenly feel really freaking special.

Wow - have you ever thought about writing an advice column?! I do try to role model as best as I can and as much as I hope they pick up some of those things, I also want them to grow up to be their own people and make their own decisions becasue it’s what they want and not just what I want for them...if that makes sense. I think we all do that though, I bet if you asked Danneel then she’d say she feels the same way. None of us are perfect, all we can do is learn and grow from our mistakes because we’ll never escape making them!  Don’t go to YouTube? Whyyy, what am I going to find?? Now I have to look! As you should, not everyone can be a heartthrob to swarms of teenage girls, right?

You’re a ray of sunshine, and I refuse to accept anything else! Actually, now that you mention it, that’s exactly how I fought off all of the suitors. I kicked them into a giant hole and left them there to rot, do you think that was ‘too far’ or just far enough? Exactly what I was thinking, sometimes you might not get the finish that you were hoping for, but you still hopefully enjoyed the ride along the way, so that’s better than nothing at all. That makes sense, aye, I think that’s kind of nice. That way if you need anything, it’s all here in town, too. You’re not waiting weeks for something to come in if you had to order a replacement or ighting with someone that you can’t physically talk to if something goes wrong. But that’s also a great goal, it’ll free you up a bit to be a business woman all over again – as if you don’t have any experience with that! Very much so on this end, too, she’s super excited to spend all next week with them.

I’m at least partly cloudy some days! I mean, it worked out well for me, so I have to think it was just far enough. Although I hope you covered up the hole so that none of them can climb back out and ruin everything you accomplished! Sometimes it’s all about the journey, right, not the destination? That’s what I was thinking too but now that you say that, maybe out of towners would be good - what if we have some sort of conflict with the contractors and they turn out to be a neighbor our something? Then you’re just stuck with them? I’m so excited about this shop, to be honest, not only do I think it’s going to be great but having somewhere close to home will be nice. I think I’m getting old and doing that nesting thing people talk about...Do you ever start to feel like maybe our presence is irrelevant to them? Unless they want a ride to the park or something! They’re really looking forward to it too, though. In fact, they haven’t stopped talking about it all week. Thank god there’s only a couple more days to go!

I know what you mean. I am really enjoying it so far. Its amazing here. It doesn’t take long to fall in love with this place.

It never does! Are you planning to come along on the summer trip as well? You don’t want to miss out on the trips! They’re always amazing!

Thank you, How old are your daughters? Nice to meet you. I’m getting situated well. I really appreciate all the hospitality. She’s ten, she’s turning eleven next year. I will definitely check that place out.

Frankie is four and Olive is five, six in September. OH wow, eleven though! She’s almost a teenager - are you frightened yet? Good, good, I’m glad to hear that - it’s a pretty welcoming place I think. Sort of hard not to fall in love with!

Hey, if you lead them the right way they won’t go through the same things as you did, but then again, I suck at advices and you shouldn’t listen to me, at all. I understand what you’re saying, I kind of hope my kids to be just like their mother because she’s not as fucked up as I am. I keep missing everything, right? Jesus Christ, I promise to be around more. You’re doing a great job, I’ll keep on saying you’re twenty-seven. Excuse me, have you been watching Supernatural Gag Reel? Listen, we have a lot of fun but there’s nothing like home.

I hope that’s what I’m doing, but as a parent, there are somethings that just aren’t in your control. Thankfully, I’ve probably got a few years to wait before I really have to worry about that. Time will tell, though! Oh please, not that I know you all that well but I like to think I’m a fairly good judge of character and I don’t think she’d be that unlucky to get some of her daddy’s traits too - though I’m sure her mother is wonderful too! I’m going to hold you too that - summer trip, you’ll be there right? Thank you very much, I appreciate that and I’ll do the same for you! I haven’t no but I might have to YouTube these to see! I just do a little Insta stalking every so often and you all are very popular with the younger generation!

Or like the more they talk about it, the more popular we become. I mean the haters always comment under our videos but it just makes more people watch them so, sucks to be them right? Drew! Kids understand way more than people give them credit for and honestly like they don’t even care about when their parents were young, they just want a cell phone. Oh my gosh right? Brie and I are pretty much total opposites and we were raised the exact same. So crazy. I bet John understands that stuff.

I kind of get a kick out of those people on social media sometimes, although I admit, occasionally it gets to me. That’s just my own insecurities though and I know better. Oh believe me, I did my fair share of living in my younger days - too much, maybe! I kind of enjoy the mellower side of things now. I like to think that I still have fun, just maybe not the wild kind that the kids watching would be into? Hey, so long as I don’t have to be up at the crack of dawn, I’m up for anything! Thankfully, my girls aren’t at the cell phone stage yet - they do love their iPads though, which I can live with. I feel like I have more control with those since they don’t really leave the house with them. Does he? Maybe he can explain it to us, huh?

Are you sure that I can get much more miserable than I already am? It would be a pretty tall task for someone like me, you have to admit. I did! I ended up fighting many suitors half of my age, which should really count for something, since hey were so damn tough. The ego is like foreplay at this point, isn’t it? Not just with us, I just mean in the human race – stroke the ego, and then stroke the other things. Do you have any idea when you will be up and running, or are you doing that pulling-out-your-hair-figuring-what-goes-where thing right now? If the girls are around this weekend, we should take them to the Fest together, I know Gaelyn’s excited about free food. Or maybe that’s me.

Oh, I was referring to me - you’re definitely as miserable as they come! But in the best way possible! And look at you, not even a scratch to show for it - much have been all that King Leonidas training you did, huh? I’d never thought of it that way but now that you mention it...it kind of is. I mean, the orgasm isn’t quite as satisfying but if it’s all you can get, it’s worth taking! We’ve put in for the location, so once that’s confirmed - which I don’t see why it wouldn’t be - it’s just a matter of ordering what we need. I’m thinking I’d like to keep it local though and get as much of the interior done by businesses here, so hopefully that’ll keep things moving along quickly. End of summer maybe? Which will work out nicely. The girls will be in school which means I’ll have some extra time to help get it off on the right foot. I’m still full. Not that I wouldn’t eat that meal all over again right now if I could but...it was very satisfying and Olive and Frankie were pumped to see Gaelyn again. 

Thank you, Drew!! It is, and completely worth all the work and craziness to be here. Plus hearing that people like it is an amazing bonus, no lie. Some artists do! I feel like they’ve become sort of a trendy vintage thing to do. We actually went the route of having those and cassette tapes as well, since we’re all hipster and very extra too. But we’re proud of the thing, so you know, every format ever!

I caught a bit of your act this weekend and it was amazing. Olive was particularly enthralled and I think you may have earned yourself a new fangirl! That’s cool though, there is a particular sound that CDs or digital have never managed to capture. It always feels a little more like you’re at an actual show when I listen on vinyl. Oh geez, cassettes too? You’re making me feel all nostalgic here - maybe you earned yourself two fangirls!

I kept a place in England too. I need a spot there cause that’s where my family and friends live. It feels good to have a place on your own when you’re working or travelling right? So do you go to New York often?

There’s something about ‘home’, isn’t there. Hotels and such are great for short term stays but doing it all the time is exhausting. I do, I’m back and forth a lot but the people I work with seem to have Flower Beauty mostly under control now and we’re opening up another shop here in Bayview, so hopefully I’ll be spending more time right here at home!

For me, its kind of weird because even though I lived in a small town, I didn’t have any houses nearby. So its taking some getting used to here.

I bet they adore you too much to ever think a single negative thing about you. unpacking is my worst enemy so I’ve been putting it off. there’s just too much to see and do. plus keeping the kiddos cooped up isn’t healthy so we’ve spent the time since getting here outside. not much exploring but plenty of sunshine.

Oh sure, they adore me now but give it a few years and I’ll be facing slammed doors! I already get a bit of an eye roll if I get to affectionate in public! Unpacking is terrible, the only thing worse is packing, I think! So I don’t blame you one bit, I’d put it off too, especially in the summer - who wants to be locked up inside when there’s so much happening around town!

And why’s that? You’re not a bad person, are you? I think they would be just fine if they were like you. JJ lives with her mother, all I have to do is to ask her if she wants to spend some time with her dad and she’ll do it, so basically, I think we’re free at any time. Right? That’s not even fair, it’s a good thing we at least still look young and we can sometimes lie to people about our age. I did! I’m having the time of my life in this city, let me tell you. I’m a bit sad because I’ll have to leave and film Supernatural soon, but there’s nothing I can do.

I don’t think I’m a bad person no,  I just hope my girls don’t have to experience some of the things I did, you know? Some of which were completely out of my control, others though were the result of some very poor decision making! Excellent, well if you’re around this weekend perhaps we can catch up at the Summer Fest! My tactic is ask how old people think I am and so long as they give a number less than forty three, I just agree! Oh yeah, because it looks like the bunch of you have a miserable time when you’re filming!

Oh, that’s true, you would be absolutely lost and completely undesirable without me, right? Minus the fact that there would be a line up the block of men just chomping at the bit to take my place! Besides, you deal with me being a basketcase all the same. And that’s what I’m here for, to pet your ego… and maybe a few other things, too. Did you really? I’m down for that, just let me know when you are most free, I don’t have any plans now minus the fourth of July and that Summer Fest coming up this weekend, and Gaelyn loves getting out as often as she can.

That’s why we work - equal parts basketcase and hot drinks. Tea in my case. I mostly like the other things but the ego is nice too! I’m pretty excited about the new space, I think it’s exactly what we were looking for and I can’t wait to get it all set up and everything. That and Frankie and Olive would never forgive either of us if Gaelyn was here and they didn’t get to hang out with her - we’d immediately be disowned.
