@butchersprophet It’s not your typical comedy. It’s referred to as a dark comedy so if anything the funny is in the miserableness of it all. Which keeps it fresh. On top of that it centers around two lead female characters who may or may not have something romantic going on with a 40-year age gap between them - so it covers the age vs power argument and which is truly wrong and toxic. On top of that one of the lead characters is queer and is a poly bisexual. There’s actually a lot to love from a LGBTQ+ person’s perspective and they’re very careful and sincere with that. It’s extremely well-written to the point where when they do the conflict and the angst parts of the show and the lead character’s relationship, it feels warranted that they are that way with each other and it’s resolved just as naturally and authentically too.
