This is why they parade her around as a deaf human that is SUPER good at American Sign Language (the recurring joke being that people just assume she is really ugly and don’t want to be rude by calling attention to her appearence.) If people find out the secret, CoCo will be taken away and experimented on or thrown in some shitty zoo or whatever. In later episodes Madison and CoCo begin to bond over their shared love of music (CoCo can play the drums btw fyi) and start a family band called the Bananas which produces a real world number one hit album for the Disney company.
