While Sproxxel was in her lab working on something or other, Gideon (who was in the lab next to her) barges in. "Hey, Labmate! So, you love weapon testing, right? Wanna see what this does?" He snaps his fingers and teleports the two of them to an empty dimension so they don't disturb anything in the lab.

Sproxxel sees the weapon, and recognizes it as one of her failed prototypes she discarded, but then sees a lot of extra really dangerous bits on it hastily added on. "Wait I don't think that's a good idea-"

Gideon pulls the trigger, and the sheer unmatched power of the sun blasts through the air, obliterating anything in that general direction. Luckily they were on the other side of the gun and therefore definitely totally suffered no adverse consequences (trust me, I'm a physicist), but it was quite the scare!

Zaroff, in his latest plan to kill Gideon, decides to do something drastic…again. He finds Havoc, sealed away in their little pocket dimension, and presents them with a proposition. He will cut their binds, and in return they will help Zaroff destroy Gideon. Of course, there's a second game behind the scenes. Zaroff learned from the failed plan of using Null that he will have to keep a tighter leash on eldritch horrors he teams up with, and Havoc doesn't like being restrained in any way. Who of the two deceivers will come out on top?

"Oh! Looks like we talked for so long that it's now past business hours. Well, I'll get out of here so you can close up shop and head home. Don't want you sleep deprived when you do your peacekeeping work."

"Wh-?!"

"Don't worry, your secret's safe with me. Like I said, we're quite similar. Just know that, if you ever need someone to talk to, my door's always open."

"I don't want to be a burden anymore", your hat answers. "You are always carrying me around, and I can't carry you. That's not fair."

"I don't mind carrying you, little idiot", you tell your hat, "you hardly weight anything at all, and you shelter me from the sun."

"But that's different", your hat protests. "I don't mind the sun scorching on me. That happens anyway. It's literally no trouble for me to shade you too."

After everything happened and the two of them realize "Hey wait maybe time travel was a bad idea" and subsequently do, undo, redo then undo, redo, do, and then finally undo, they tried something new.

The frontiers of science were calling to them once more, and, having learned nothing, they figured out how to make a portal between multiverses.

Little could they know (but they probably should've suspected given their track record), they've opened a portal directly in the lab of the most powerful being in existence.

But seriously, their science luck is HORRIBLE, they should really invest in safety protocols or something.
