based on my years and years being an active participant in transmedical and transsexual spaces.

though looking now at the ICD 10 it says:

"A desire to live and be accepted as a member of the opposite sex, usually accompanied by a sense of discomfort with, or inappropriateness of, one's anatomic sex, and a wish to have surgery and hormonal treatment to make one's body as congruent as possible with one's preferred sex."

transsexuality is a medical condition

There are nondisordered plurals, just as there are nondysphoric transgender people. There are CDD systems, just as there are transsexuals.

Just like nondisordered plurality, nondysphoric transness is a matter of social identity and subjective internal experiences; neither are pathological.

Just like CDD systemhood, transsexuality is a matter of a medical condition requiring treatment; both negatively impact one's functioning and/or quality of life.

and of course there are people in between who don't fit into these nice categories. like dysphoric transgender people who only need HRT, and plurals who struggle with cPTSD, or dissociation but not the structural kind.
