Burkey Illustrations

My drawing of the Colorado Avalanche’s mascot Howler the Yeti. I attempted to create a dynamic piece fit for hockey using intense backlighting with a cold, muted color scheme.

Inspired by the macabre, propaganda-styled posters, and my love for Halloween.  Translated as “Awaken the Dead!” from German, I was inspired by the German band In Extremo’s 1998 album of the same name. 

One of the first projects we did for my old graphic designing class at college was to create a travel poster for a place (real or fictitious.) I decided to create another poster based on my love for the Rocky Mountains of Colorado.
