also with jade, the whole this really really ugly to polyamarous people. polyamory is (like it sadly is in most media) only used as a tool to stir up relationship drama between the characters, you have epilogues jade trying to force davekat into a throuple and then the whole jade rose spat in hs2. a lot of the other stuff can perhaps be handwaved by most people as 'reading too far into things' but this is one aspect which is just. fucking offensive no matter how you slice it and roxy. a weird detail is that in the meat epilouges, at least if my memory serves, roxy was coming out as nonbinary. but then in hs2 hes just changed to transmasc without any elaboration, which has a nasty 'nonbinary people just havent chosen their side of the binary yet' undertone which.
