I'm still thinking about the guy who saw me realize my wheelchair wouldn't fit in the elevator because he (also a wheelchair user) was already inside it and immediately quipped, "This elevator ain't accessible enough for the both of us."

when you're an adult you're expected to be able to express your emotions in healthier and more productive ways than screaming and crying and throwing a fit. which is tough because there are so many things in adult life that will make you want to scream and cry and throw a fit.

Someone needs to tell parents everywhere that a child never complaining is NOT a sign of a mentally healthy child, and it is, in fact, the complete opposite of that.
