I had initially skimmed this post and assumed it was from "The Onion" because it was so outrageous. But the Snopes article says it really happened.

It explains so much, including why Trump needed desperately to blame vandals for what is likely mostly his own incompetence in not only awarding no-bid contracts for the renovation in a careless display of crony capitalism, but also in ordering a motorcade in May so he could "tour the site and see the new color."

According to Snopes: "NBC showed footage of the cars crossing a seemingly wet patch of paint, leaving tire marks behind."

You really cannot make this stuff up.
