whisper: sure

tangle: hey, whisp! knock knock

whisper: um… who’s there?

tangle: olive!

tangle: olive you, silly!

whisper:

whisper, chuckling endearingly: god, you’re so corny

tangle: your laugh betrays you, strawberry~!

*as they walk off, a lightbulb goes off in ashley’s head*

[later, at the babylon rogues’ airship]

ashley, swinging the door open: hey wave, knock knock-!

wave, making a door-locking motion: click

ashley: wh- wha-

wave: i just locked the door, go away.

ashley: no no, i mean, like, knock knock-

wave: i called the police. get off my property

In this brief moment, the fear outweighed the pain.

lanolin: ugh… what’s that smell?

ashley: it’s either bad meat or good cheese… are we sure this is the right place?

tangle: h-hey, c’mon now. i’m sure if we fix this place up a little, we can-!

*suddenly, the floor gives in under whisper, and she partly falls through it, only visible from the waist up*

tangle, lanolin and ashley:

“Now that was a workout… I should get Whisp and the rest of the Neos to join next time!”

“Sounds like you’ve found a home away from home,” Rouge smirked.

On the lone chair near the couch, Shadow muttered, “Even after almost taking someone’s life.”

The bat giggled as he kept his eyes on the TV screen, where he was doing his umpteenth rewatch of that show revolving around a skimpy black-haired girl and her giant scissors.

“IT WAS A MISUNDERSTANDING,” Omega countered, throwing his arms up. “HOW LONG WILL YOU KEEP FAULTING ME FOR THAT?”

“The same amount of time as when you threw our kitchen table through the wall over a game of UNO,” Shadow grunted, still not looking back. On his lap, his chao, Dusk, stuck his tongue out at him.
