Breakfast at Tiffany’s.
Her eyes widened when the girl in front of her said that she had known what it’s like. Hikari wasn’t sure if the girl actually had any inkling as to what Hikari was talking about, but she seemed to be friendly at the very least.
Quickly realizing that the girl wanted nothing more than to hold a conversation, she took a deep breath. This girl didn’t seem to be a threat to her at all, and in fact, Hikari liked the girl. She seemed to have a positive demeanor that was rare for most players
Hikari folded her arms across her chest at the question. The very best? Hikari had never thought of it that way before.
“You know…. I’ve heard that phrase before,” she said calmly. “But really… does that just mean beating the League for you? I think that being the very best should mean more than that. It should mean trying to come out on top in your trainer. I think it means that you know how to take care of your Pokemon to the best of your ability and that you’ve been able to make a life for yourself here.”
Gauging the girl’s reaction, Hikari continued, folding her hands neatly on the table in front of her. “I guess you could say that I’m the type of trainer that doesn’t lose.” She paused, thinking about the statement. “But don’t take that as a challenge! I just mean that I win to keep moving forward with life here…. Does that makes sense?”
Bianca took a moment to play around with Hikari’s words in her mind. She respected the way Hikari thought, it was ideal. A lot of other players were like that, at least to Biancas’s knowledge. Wanting to continue life the best way they can while trapped here.
“Okay, that makes sense.” Bianca stated. “Although, I’ve always wondered... What kind of life can we make while in here? Of course, we should try to make the best of it but we might not see each other ever again. So...” Bianca paused, realizing she caught herself rambling.
“Oh... I’m sorry. I was rambling wasn’t I?” Bianca asked Hikari. “I have a tendency to do this. This is why I haven’t made that many friends here, I keep chattering all over about stupid nonsense. Look at me now, I keep doing it.” Bianca decided to stop before she embarrassed herself anymore.
It wasn’t that she chattered a lot, but about the things she chattered about, that turned people off. She wanted to feel the security of the truth and she felt that there was more to this world than there was to see. At first glance Bianca appeared as an optimistic girl, but she was smarter than she would give herself credit for.
Of course it never helped that Bianca was sometimes a little too blunt with some of the people she met. Once she told a wandering player, partially as a joke, straight up their probability of death if they continued to play the way they did. A few weeks later they had died in a Cave in Kanto due to their reckless behavior. Bianca, of course, was unaware of this but she did feel like her words were burdensome and unnecessary, so she hid them.
