Why is there such a sense of impending doom when you NEED to call in to work?. Why do I feel like I need to explain exactly why I need the day? Specially since the last time I had a call out was 1+ year ago?. And I have to sit here and go over it in my head, I need to take this day off because of x, y and z unexpected emergencies. And after I get the okay, I'm still sitting here going over it in my head like I did a bad thing...help.
