DUDELZ | Figment and Sparky
HEY THERE PEOPLE OF TODAY AND ROBOTS OF TOMORROW!
'TIS I, CLARK, BACK WITH ANOTHER DOSE OF WEIRDNESS!
Some of you might be confused why there's been an influx of sketches from me lately. There's a multitude of answers, the biggest being my laptop is currently being a piece of crap. It struggles loading a GIF, let along Adobe's overpriced art program Illustrator. So for the time being I have to doodle everything that comes to mind. Luckily this is a perfect excuse to test out some new art pens found at Walmart. Now all that's needed is the right spark of an idea. Luckily Disney recently provided one in a new How NOT to Draw Segment featuring a certain purple dragon. Yup, Figment is back! And despite racking up four hour waits for his walk-around's return or the online fiasco that was his popcorn buckets, the short hasn't gotten a billion views yet. Weird. It's a fun little segment featuring Neil Patrick Harris as the Narrator and the voice of Gambit from X-Men '97 (A.J. LoCascio) as EPCOT'S unofficial mascot. Good luck watching that one scene again without thinking of the dragon. Putting all that aside, an octopus shows up in the short, spawned from a spark of inspiration. Thus I've decided its name is Sparky and it deserved fan art. Not much to say about my silly sketch aside from the arm in front of Figment's belly. I actually forgot to redraw it with the pen, so I copy and pasted a separate sketch of it on top of this one. Don't judge! Creative thinking like that can solve almost any problem.
